How will they hide Linda's pregnancy and where will she go

Will donna be pregnant by her adoptive brother

Anything else?

Between the lips and the boobs its all so distracting

That bit is called the Neck.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/07/2016 19:58

I'm 15 minutes behind everyone else.

mrswhiplington · 05/07/2016 20:03

Someone should tell Sharon that Batman wants his cape back!

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/07/2016 20:08

That's not cathy.

At least the kicking open the door was realistic.

unimagmative13 · 05/07/2016 20:08

No it was the other one

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/07/2016 20:09

yes.... Are we supposed to be on the edge of our seat thinking it's cathy?

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 05/07/2016 20:18

I am bloody confused

I thought Richie was Gavin's sister.

Who was the the other woman then?

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/07/2016 20:30

This is Maggie, the Mitchell's OTHER white haired female lawyer. Ritchie isn't related to Gavin.

mrswhiplington · 05/07/2016 20:32

Other woman is Margaret. She is the solicitor who helped Sharon look for her father.

I think it was her on the windscreen too.

Where was that house they were in? It looked liked some sort of museum inside.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 05/07/2016 20:57

Definitely Margaret. You could see the grey sleeve of her top sticking out of her jacket sleeve, and flat shoes. Cathy was wearing a black patterned top and heels

MrsJayy · 05/07/2016 21:01

Was Margarets house ithink but gavin had a mews house before thats where he kept phill im confused. MAGARET was the lawyer who finalised sharons adoption

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 05/07/2016 21:37

So , let me get this straight, to be a solicitor (or brief as they seem to call them in EE) in EE you need poker straight grey hair??

HarryPottersMagicWand · 05/07/2016 22:11

That was ridiculous. Of course it was Margaret. It insults out intelligence to think that was Kathy. Kathy has blonde hair not grey anyway. And why would Gavin kill his sister? Another far fetched pile of nonsense. Gavin needs to fuck off.

We did find out about Vincent's father. He knew the Mitchells. I think Claudette liked Eric Mitchell from what I remember her saying. Claudette has spent years telling Vincent that Eric Mitchell killed his dad but really it was her and she buried him on a new housing estate. I don't think there was anything much to it tbh.

OhTinky · 05/07/2016 23:21

About to catch up on what sounds like a thrilling Gavin filled episode. Assume Peggy storylines/secrets are now entirely finished?

What was all that fuss about Grant coming back again if only to hide in a bush at the cemetery and not even speak?

I'd COMPLETELY forgotten about the murderous Claudette/Henry? Hubbard story. That went round and round and ended up nowhere. Hope Gavin still has that quality prop retconned photograph though...

SinisterBumFacedCat · 05/07/2016 23:30

Wtf was that episode about?! Having looming through the hallway like a daft take on the Shining only minus Jack Nicholson, an axe or any kind of suspense. Also he'll be pulling out that photoshop picture soon and muttering "RedRum"

hippiedays · 05/07/2016 23:38

After reading the above, the last comment made me laugh out loud. Murder, lies, burial - not a whole not to it really. Only in EE can that be true.

Tonight's episode was silly. Why on earth would Kaffy go anywhere with Gavin. Did Sharon's £100K buy that lovely house? Wouldn't a house like that have electronic gates? How did Sharon and Buster enter the grounds? What was Margaret involved in (of course it is Margaret sprawled on the ground, Kaffy was wearing heels (I remember thinking she looked like she was going to work in an office when she was walking towards the station). Gavin seems to have more lives than a cat. How many attempts can be made before he is even injured? EE is more like a a mini series than a long running drama with all its subplots that lead absolutely bloody nowhere!

goingtotown · 06/07/2016 01:03

Tonight's episode was absolute rubbish. Good excuse for not watching it anymore.

Heavens2Betsy · 06/07/2016 11:27

It really was dreadful
At least they had real pictures of BW - not the awful photoshopped ones. I think the bikini was the one taken on the Costa del Crime when she was married to Ronnie Knight!
Sharon's outfit was hideous and how sick to wear Peggy's perfume. Phil should have kicked off about that.
WTF was all that shite with Gavin about? It was like a pantomime, the bit when he did the countdown and then the "come out come out wherever you are" made me laugh and what was with the sinister cheesy 40s background music?
I want to know where in the UK, just a short drive from London, can you buy a house like that for £100K (he said that Sharon's money paid for the house!)
I hope it gets better really - the only thing that keeps me watching is the prospect of seeing Danny Dyer in his pants but that hardly ever happens anymore!!!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/07/2016 11:30

I was shouting to Shazza to turn the car round, surely everyone knows if you drive somewhere a bit dodgy , you want your car bonnet to be facing the way out, not have to do a Starsky'n'Hutch stylee U-Turn.
If she'd done that, 'Kaffy' would've missed the bonnet.

Buster and his sideways longing looks in the Church Hmm . Probably his anguished shout of "Kaffffffeeee" as the body bounced off the windscreen will be The Giveaway that his feelings run deep (and he'll get splattered when Shurl cops on)

I do wish they'd bring back Old Head Ruffle Hair Denny.
Such a hateable little child character, New Head Denny is bland Sad

Jasonandyawegunorts · 06/07/2016 11:48

"Peggy died for the sins of those in the square"

  • dominic treadwell-collins

Not really, i just made that quote up, but lets face it that's what he thinks.

SheHasAWildHeart · 06/07/2016 12:09

I've avoided watching EE for a while, as my DM passed away recently the storyline hits too close to home. But I've kept up via this thread and doesn't sound like I've missed much. really don't know what's going on with EE at the moment. I watch Emmerdale on and off and it's far superior to EE and eventhough I don't watch Corrie all the Kylie stuff looks set to be interesting. Feels like everyone at EE has fallen asleep.

OhTinky · 06/07/2016 12:44

Worst episode ever. Ever.

EnidButton · 06/07/2016 13:05

The new producer will be taking over the reins in the next few months so I'm going to watch and see if we can see the join. I stopped watching for a couple of years after the episode where Ronnie swooped the babies and then dipped back in and out again around the Derek Branning time. He was too vile and implausible to watch. Came back just before Lucy's murder.

So I'm thinking this is Eastenders normal cycle and it'll pick up again soon.

EnidButton · 06/07/2016 13:05

Swopped not swooped. Blush

HarryPottersMagicWand · 06/07/2016 13:19

"After reading the above, the last comment made me laugh out loud. Murder, lies, burial - not a whole not to it really. Only in EE can that be true."

Ha ha. I think we have become desensitised given the amount of pure crap the characters have thrown at them. I think because it was something that happened years ago and off screen (and was actually made up and thrown in to give some apparent history between old and new characters) then it doesn't seem a big deal and no one really cares. I did think they were going somewhere with the whole thing though. Especially when Aunt Sal and Peggy reacted strongly to seeing Claudette. I thought some big stuff was going to be revealed. Although Aunt Sal hinted at Claudette being a prostitiute but I assumed more was to come and some sort of big reveal. Scenes got cut though between Peggy and Claudette didn't they?
