Bobby's gone evil because they wanted 'Who killed Lucy?' to have a genuinely surprising outcome (although not for us here ). I don't think they thought much further than the reveal episode tbh.

Re Lucy - didn't we think at the time that bobby hitting her was probably just the straw that broke the camels back so to speak...and that the earlier altercation with max may have been the real cause of death?
