Who else thinks they talk like they have something shoved up their noses?

Or finds Phil a poncey, insipid waste of space and Kirsty a Sloaney cow?

They can be nice neds, I don't care who they are and how posh they are, I'm just fed up that TV seems to increasingly cater to the lowest common denominator and is turning into a freakshow where we all get our entertainment gawping at stupid/nasty/rude people.

I'm only 32 you know, I really shouldn't sound this middle-aged. But why can't people just be pleasant At least it doesn't like PHil and Kirstie might start duffing people up at any moment.

expatinscotland · 13/01/2007 23:08

Haahaahaa.

I live by a bay.

It's about a quarter mile from here.

But never in a million years could I go on that show.

Not even w/an inheritance.

Wouldn't make for good TV.

I'd be falling over grateful for whatever they found us.

doesn't look like

JanH · 13/01/2007 23:11

OK -

1)they bought fully-renovated 3 BR Victorian mid-terrace in April 02 for £92K, no work done AFAIK, sold it for £135K in Nov 03 and

2)bought semi-renovated 4BR Victorian semi for £170

  1. did some work on it and sold it for £250K in Aug 06

See what they did there? £92K - £250K in 4 years 8 months. It's partly a matter of being in the right place and the right time but also working quite hard and having some vision.

Also she arrived at 1) with a small boy and had twin girls shortly after moving into 2). And her DH works away most of the year. I am awed at her achievements!

Well, we didn't win the Lotto.

Shucks!

Guess I won't be meeting Kirstie and Phil anytime soon.

At least Kirstie hasn't done the footless tights thing!

My dh won't take risks with money, accountant and hates being in debt.Wish we'd taken more risk and bought a bigger house 10 yrs ago.

I just laugh and laugh.

My mum just watched some show she saw in the US.

Where the couple paid $197,000 for some skank two-bed flat in a shit part of town ex-council here in Edinburgh.

It's all relative.

I know when I walk past the house I loved that was £130k and we could only stretch to £100.
MInd you the interest rates still kept going up after we bought this house and we did used to sigh with relief aswell that we didn't stretch ourselves too much.

Ready · 15/01/2007 18:17

oops Kirstie

ParanoidAndroid · 15/01/2007 18:22

Back off peeps. Kirstie is a cousin of mine, or a second cousin or something like that!

slinks off having made her claim to fame

Ready · 15/01/2007 18:26

I love them!!!!

meanscottishbint · 15/01/2007 18:45

she reminds me of miss piggy

Aloha · 15/01/2007 18:50

I love Phil and Kirstie. And I nearly fainted with envy at the double fronted Georgian mansion last week. Beautiful house, not totally convinced by the location or how they were going to live between there and that nasty council flat in Fulham when they had a baby and fulltime jobs in London.

DarrellRivers · 15/01/2007 18:50

I love Kirstie and I think she is v stylish
Christ at least she looks normal, not like all the other vacuous , pneumatic blondes with collagen pouts that seem to present everyother TV programme going
Phil does seem a bit wet however

Ready · 15/01/2007 20:41

Aloha! Tell me about it, that was to die for!! Although totally agree with you on the logistics of their move... don't think they thought it through.

nutcracker · 15/01/2007 20:45

I love them both, in fact think Phil is quite shaggable, although please bear in mind when reading that I have a non exsistent sex life at present and that may have a bearing on what I just said

UnquietDad · 15/01/2007 23:30

Kirstie is hot posh totty. But I hate most of the smug smackable tossers they go househunting for. "Giles and Tamara have only £400,000 to spend, and that won't go far when they need to buy a Tudor farmhouse in Surrey with a nanny-annexe and room for their three obnoxious children, AND the shag-pad in Hampstead for Giles."

When they fail, it fills me with schadenfreude.

Aloha · 15/01/2007 23:31

PSML at the shag pad! And I bet you are right.
