Sky is so expensive though!

I've never been able to afford the Movies package.

Has anyone got Now TV? Is that worth a look?

Tunnel Bear app still seems ok, not free but fairly reasonable if you use it a lot.

Might give amazon a go via the free trial...presume it's possible to use a VPN and get the US content with that service?
Does anyone know? 😕

Hola didn't unblock Amazon US for me. That was my next bet when Netflix blocked the unblockers.

Netflix are forcing ISPs to systematically block the unblockers. It is a licensing thing. Watching US Netflix in the UK is illegal as the programmes on it are only licensed for the US. Netflix are being pressured by tv/film companies to do all they can to stop people watching Netflix for other countries.

Dd2 loved watching the gruffallo and room on the broom, and neither of those are on netflix uk. They were made by the bbc, hows that fair?

well dont anyone bother with amazon prime!
I just signed up for a free trial, yes they have frasier and the office usa, but you have to pay £2.50 extra PER EPISODE to watch themAngry

and it looks rubbish compared to netflix :(

There's some free some paid I found their laptop service hard to differentiate, fire stick ok, it's annoying that they'll have 1 season free then paid

very annoying, it's all free on putlocker anyway...
(except it looks a bit rubbish on a 4k tv :( )

Some of the original Amazon Prime stuff is really good and that's all free but I didn't continue it after my free trial. I probably would have if the did a monthly direct debit instead of the lump sum up front.

I was using a US DSN code on my smart TV which was blocked a couple of weeks ago. I haven't bothered checking any codes yet as I was had the new series of House of Cards to keep me occupied but finished that tonight.

Be careful - Netflix are threatening to ban users who use VPNs or similar to access multi-region content. Long term they are trying to put pressure on the production companies for global rights agreements but it will be a while before we benefit from this.

All of the "free" ones are shit quality. That's why we pay for Netflix. With amazon prime you have to check what is actually there, but it's okay for some things which aren't on netflix. And yes there are a number of options for legally buying + watching stuff which tends to give you better quality - the VPNs aren't really legal and neither are any of the free websites. If you're going to pirate something you might as well just download or torrent it and get the HD versions. It's normally cheaper and less hassle to just buy something legally. Amazon sell digital video, so do iTunes, so do a number of other providers, there are probably discount ones out there like there are for games.

Netflix won't ban users. That just reduces revenue for them. They will put a block up which says "Sorry, you can't watch this because you're using a VPN" but as soon as you disable the VPN you will be able to watch things again. Some people will probably unsubscribe if the VPN thing turns out to be serious this time but it's likely that they'll just turn a blind eye to the next workaround until they get their wrists slapped again.

If you don't mind the trip into town and have a DVD/Blu ray player, CeX can be a good source for box sets because the box sets have a half decent trade in value. Buy the first one at full (second hand) price, take it back for a voucher against the next one. Repeat - works out about the same as it used to cost to rent a DVD from blockbusters. If you get fed up trade the last one in for cash, you'll get a couple of pounds back.

Get a firestick from amazon and put kodi on it and then tvaddons. All the series you could want in hd usually as well. There are guides on youtube for adding kodi to the firestick and if I can do it anyone can.

I cant see amazon getting much of a share of the market when they're competing with netflix and all the free content, maybe some of it's 'illegal' but I dont see hoards of people getting arrested for itHmm

I'm not going to faff about buying and selling dvd's when I can just stream anything I want

I have unblockus and found that if you can switch your region to another and then back again, then clear all your history and cookies from your browser, close the browser, then open up browser and log in to netflix it doesn't recognise your blocker for a good couple of episodes. It's a faff I know but whatever works! :)
