Not relevant but I saw a picture of Matt Leblanc the other day and he is WAY more attractive now than he was in the Friends era .

I'll swallow my loathing of Chris Evans and give at least one episode of New Top Gear a watch on that basis

Eddie Jordan would be a disaster. He has zero craic as far as I can tell. He might know cars but I can't see him fitting at all. Plus, another mid age white male would be a huge huge mistake. Surely they've realised their demographic is much broader than that now!

Have seen MLB interviewed a few times, and he was quite boring in an interview situation. Can't see him carrying off a 'generally' unscripted presenting spot.

I love Chris Evans and Matt Le Blanc so I'm happy.

Someone asked about their search for an 'ordinary' presenter. Apparently they did do that so there will be a non-celeb joining too. I didn't get the impression they were going to be one of the main presenters iyswim more that they would present a segment or only appear some weeks.

I think Jeremy Clarkson will be mad. His ego is so big that he will be desperate for Top Gear to fail. The Beeb are quite cleverly repositioning it so they won't be as reliant on the old TG fans who may follow Clarkson and co to the internet. I know quite a few people who loved original TG, hated the Clarkson show and are saying they will watch it again because Chris Evans definitely loves and knows cars. Then there are lots of people saying that they never watched it but will watch it for MLB.

I'm quite glad so far that nobody actually involved or previously involved in motorsport is lined up to host; they can sometimes be too technical and boring.

I like cars, but I hate car bores. [yawn]
