I've come on here to ask the same thing. Found it by accident whilst ironing, missed the beginning bit picked it up easily. Got a feeling it will get difficult to watch.

I think it might be a bit 'sanitised' in its depiction of disability, it's not quite ringing true.

Dad is losing his sight and mum has a muscle wasting disease - they have a baby and social services are assessing them. No answer on whether the baby has inherited any conditions.

Is there a reason why the parents aren't rallying round, doing the washing etc so Tom can focus on caring for baby & mum? Did he insist they could manage?

Good job they didn't come to check my parents out 50 years ago then. Both of my parents are blind and bought up 3 children perfectly well. In fact better than well.

Are there other problems?

I thought that. Even in today's climate ss would have put in some kind of care package.

The loss of sight and Mum uses a chair and is severely physically disabled.

I found it very moving

Having worked in this area - I wish the services pictured were as helpful for those parents with mental health or learning disability issues

Many of whom have their children removed who could cope given the right levels of support
