Afternoon lovelies Smile

Sorry to hear you're cold, Rafa, get thyself here, its effing boiling.

Angry - that's me, in every sense.

Apparently, I don't do heat well.

I know I don't.

In my defence, I was up walking Her Lassieship, came home & everyone still asleep. Had a coffee then cut the grass I couldn't on Sunday cos it rained.

Bit hot for cutting grass. Phew ! Least its done now.

Well, we wanted an upset, with Nishi pulling out we got one. Not quite what we meant though, I think ?

Saw a bit of Liam, poor lad. His frustration was evident, specially when he shouted about missing too many first serves.

Perhaps British tennis would do well to invest in more than 1 player ? Wink

Raonic v Nick next, that could be a good match.

Hope you're all ok and not as bloomin' hot as I am.

I saw that pic of Stan.

Too many white bits.

It's OK we've found the exit. It's the one with the big sign for Exeter on it. I did wonder why we passed that one the first time round.

MrsVamos · 01/07/2015 16:19

I did wonder if you're on a mystery tour, Rafa. Grin

Hello, MrsV.Grin

Raahh · 01/07/2015 16:25

Why are the Aussies struggling so much with the weather in London??

Tomic! Where is his dad?Grin

HenriettaTurkey · 01/07/2015 16:25

Ouch. 2 doubles in a row & 3 in one game for Heather. She's a break down...

Raahh · 01/07/2015 16:26

It will rain next week, all thoughts of heat policies will be out of the windowGrin

MrsVamos · 01/07/2015 16:29

Hello, lovely Raahh. Smile

Heather's trying. She'll put up a good fight hopefully.

Its not due to rain next week. Threats of potentially life threatening thunderstorms today & tomorrow but then warming up again.

Great. I would be majorly peed off if it weren't for Wimby & ice pops.

My little sister, who I refuse to believe is now 17, was Hantuchova's biggest fan when she was 8 or something and H played in the Auckland Open. It was very sweet. Accordingly iI stillhave a soft spot for Daniela.

I think my phone is being weird and if it isn't then there will be some crazy spelling in my paragraph above...

MrsVamos · 01/07/2015 16:32

Hi Grouchy

My phone just went a bit weirdy.

Maybe they'll all melt from the inside ?

I've put Cilic on. Girls too slow.

Colic is 1 set all. 4 all 30 all third set. Looks interesting.

Why are women players allowed heat breaks but not men? Confused Is it because women aren't tough enough? Hmm

MrsVamos · 01/07/2015 16:35

I'm not even going to bother correcting spelling anymore.

We'll all just have to guess at what I meant.

Have realised that this year we have on days/off days in week one - Murray, Rafa and Fed yesterday - Djokovic today. I did enjoy watching Dimitrov though (although bizarrely fascinated by how his "black heart" might reveal itself. Good job Sharapova looks like a tough cookie).

MrsVamos · 01/07/2015 16:37

No-ones actually explained it, LeBear.

They just say that its been part of the Women's Tour for 20 years but not men.

Sam Smith said earlier when it was introduced, the women were all young girls, so not as good at managing heat, hence why it was introduced.

It stupid. If its too hot, its too hot. Men or Women.

What have I missed? Been out to have hairs cut, me and daughter.

Had to apologise for my glowing and melted state, luckily she's a friend. Going to start yoga together next week Grin

MrsVamos · 01/07/2015 16:39

Grigor and a black heart ? Not heard that.

MrsVamos · 01/07/2015 16:42

Watson is playing very well - seems much more mature with choice of shots

HenriettaTurkey · 01/07/2015 16:44

It's something Serena has said - I think she had a thing for him, and maybe they dated briefly. Then he ended it and went out with Maria.

Or something.

Much better from Heather!

LeBearPolar · 01/07/2015 16:45

My fave story from the tennis tour - apparently Grigor was dating? hanging out with? Serena Williams (the mind boggles - she would eat him for breakfast) before he got together with Sharapova and Serena made a very cryptic comment in a press interview about 'a top five player' (unnamed):

"She begins every interview with 'I'm so happy. I'm so lucky' –- it's so boring," she told Rolling Stone. "She's still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it."

Everyone, including Sharapova, took it to be a reference to her and Dimitrov. Dimitrov - very cool - said "You guys tell me what kind of heart I have. I don't think we should talk about that" when asked about it.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 01/07/2015 16:49

No, MrsV, from now on he will be known as Colic.

HenriettaTurkey · 01/07/2015 16:50

Black heart or no, he's very easy on the eye Wink

Ooh first set Heather!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 01/07/2015 16:51

Come on Heather!
