I am in a towering temper, you'll never believe what's just happened. Ds3 (10) has just this minute walked through the door having been sent home from school. There is a swimming gala apparently and because he couldn't find his swimming stuff the teacher told him he could either spend hours standing around or go home and look for his kit. So she stood and watched while he walked out. Admittedly we live about 5 mins walk from school but:

a) There is a very busy main road to cross
b) School had no way of knowing that I, or anyone else, was home
c) School have made no attempt to ring me
d) His bloody swimming kit isn't here anyway

MrsV I think there are policies that are enforced when it suits. You can't get into Dds primary without going through gates/locked doors/speaking to the Dragon in reception.
