X FACTOR - It's the semi final- and hurrah!- they are singing CHRISTMAS songs!

because they didn't last year, or the year before. And for once, I think Pugsy has got totally the right song (am biased because it's my favourite, and i think it will suit him). His second song, however, I am less happy with. Hmm

Here are the songs-

Andrea Faustini
O Holy Night by Mariah Carey
Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus

Lauren Platt
Stay Another Day by East 17/Girls Aloud
Story Of My Life by One Direction

Ben Haenow
Please Come Home For Christmas by The Eagles
Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen

Fleur East
All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey
Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars & Mark Ronson

'Stay another day' for lamenting Lozza is inspired- dirgy enough to slow it down to snail's pace, and lots of puffa jackets, 80's fashions for the dancers/ choir.

I'm not sure about Ben's at all- but at least they haven't attributed 'Hallelujah ' to Burke.com. I like the Eagles- but there are so many great Christmas songs to choose from...

Fleur has Mariah- not really her style. And the Mark Ronson track is very new, so the audience might not know it. It is ok, though.

Ohh it's getting exciting. wonder what Louis will be saying, now he doens't have an act, and doesn't care?

See y'all later. Xmas Grin

Simon is basically the Bond villain of our generation

TheFairyCaravan · 07/12/2014 20:26

Bollocks to George Osborne, they should bloody fund hospices!

BOFster · 07/12/2014 20:26

I'm starting to think she some have done something pretty shady herself, Sinister- how anyone can stand to be around him, I have no idea. He's going straight to hell: there's only so much leverage with St Peter to be had out of being kind to animals.

CalamitouslyWrong · 07/12/2014 20:26

This charity clearly do importent work, but its a pretty horrible name (even if it is descriptive). A bit of euphemism never went amiss in these situations.

snice · 07/12/2014 20:27

Louis 'no mates' still sat at the table then

Lauren looks miserable as sin. Mum and Dad must be arguing again...

SirNoel · 07/12/2014 20:27

Yy Rudy. He could break your windpipe with only his thighs.

Well okay, maybe not that type of Bond villain

Raahh · 07/12/2014 20:27

Cal- I always think that. it's very blunt.

And, yes, fairy. Bollocks to George Osborne. The fact that hospices don't get full funding is a scandal.

BOFster · 07/12/2014 20:28

God, I thought Fleur was about to morph into a Time Lord then.

no govt has ever funded hospices have they?

RudolphUcker · 07/12/2014 20:29

Oh I don't care. They both bore me.
Pugsy lost me when he didn't ride the wrecking ball in his pants.

AWholeLottaNosy · 07/12/2014 20:29

Bloody knew it! Pugsy and Lauren in the sing off.

Raahh · 07/12/2014 20:29

The other contestants have been bitching that Fleur is Si's winner, and they are just filler.

I really must stop reading digital spy.

Crap.

I love Pugsy. I want him to be in the final. It's time Lozza went home.

BOFster · 07/12/2014 20:29

Pugsy is a shoo-in (shoe-in?) for Eurovision, surely?

CalamitouslyWrong · 07/12/2014 20:30

The results will be read in the order simon wants the contestants to finish the competition in then.

TheFairyCaravan · 07/12/2014 20:30

Bye to Lauren then

Lauren has got time to develop a career yet, I'd have thought. How old is she again- did they say?

CalamitouslyWrong · 07/12/2014 20:31

The NHS absolutely should fund hospices as standard. End of life care is about as important as it gets.

BOFster · 07/12/2014 20:32

The only hospice the Tories are interested in is the House Of Lords.
