because they didn't last year, or the year before. And for once, I think Pugsy has got totally the right song (am biased because it's my favourite, and i think it will suit him). His second song, however, I am less happy with. Hmm

Here are the songs-

Andrea Faustini
O Holy Night by Mariah Carey
Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus

Lauren Platt
Stay Another Day by East 17/Girls Aloud
Story Of My Life by One Direction

Ben Haenow
Please Come Home For Christmas by The Eagles
Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen

Fleur East
All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey
Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars & Mark Ronson

'Stay another day' for lamenting Lozza is inspired- dirgy enough to slow it down to snail's pace, and lots of puffa jackets, 80's fashions for the dancers/ choir.

I'm not sure about Ben's at all- but at least they haven't attributed 'Hallelujah ' to Burke.com. I like the Eagles- but there are so many great Christmas songs to choose from...

Fleur has Mariah- not really her style. And the Mark Ronson track is very new, so the audience might not know it. It is ok, though.

Ohh it's getting exciting. wonder what Louis will be saying, now he doens't have an act, and doesn't care?

See y'all later. Xmas Grin

Olaf singing "It's cold outside" would have been excellent.

Raahh · 07/12/2014 21:11

Lucid - it was a missed opportunity, definitely. Xmas Grin

dh has tickets for a brass band do next sunday.. ( i know) Will watch recording and read your comments, but wont be the same.. Sad

Chipstick10 · 07/12/2014 21:34

I don't like fleur either . Mediocre but she believes she's much much more

HollyJollyDillydolly · 07/12/2014 21:55

Fleur had the newest bus too. Definite favoritism.

Raahh · 08/12/2014 08:08

I didn't notice the buses- but I'm laughing at the thought of Fleur in the swanky coach, and the other two on the back of a milk floatGrin, or hitching. in fact, I think it would have been more fun if they had been given a cardboard sign with
'Inverness' scrawled on it, and the winner would be the one who got there before the final. Grin

Good job that none of the 3 is called Norman (unlike the US group!) - it's a local coach company and in the past (not used them recently), the coaches were on the old and ropey side with no facilities.

SpanishFly · 08/12/2014 12:54

I quite liked Bubbles and Menzel. I thought it was quite charming the way they giggled. And clearly some of it was intentional, a bit like how Barbra Streisand used to perform in duets.

But why oh why didn't Chezza or Mel give them a standing ovation??

ohdearitshappeningtome · 08/12/2014 12:58

Cheza claimed she couldn't stand because of her dress and she was worried about Lauren.

Not heard Mel scuse yet

SpanishFly · 08/12/2014 13:09

But Chez was dancing very dramatically to the Michelle Obama Oprah pish earlier, so why was her dress not causing problems then?

squoosh · 08/12/2014 13:10

I remember one year everyone stayed seated for Jamiroquai because he'd dissed them. Wonder what Bublé did to annoy Biffa and Mel.

SpanishFly · 08/12/2014 15:10

Ha so they did! But Jay Kay had been really scathing about them. I don't imagine Buble to do anything like that. He's too NICE.

Sinister are you possibly on the wrong thread??!

SpanishFly · 09/12/2014 20:14

Since the judges houses I've said that Simon Cowell fancies Fleur. Then he interestingly called Lauren "Fleur", even though Lauren should be the easiest name in the world for him to remember Xmas Grin

SpanishFly · 09/12/2014 20:34

And Fleur singing Uptown Funk has meant Mark Ronson has to release the single a month early cos her version was so popular and would have taken away a lot of his record sales!

AWholeLottaNosy · 09/12/2014 22:43

Apparently his version has charted around the world. It is a good song but nothing better than Prince would have done in his heyday. Just shows how shit modern music is that a song like this can become a worldwide success...

I am beginning to think that Fleur is going to be the winner, they keep marketing her as this superstar popstar in the media and wherever I see her.
