marthamoo · 08/10/2006 17:32

I think I will - 2 hours of babies being born and birth stories, hopefully culminating in TVs first ever real life birth (though babies don't always arrived as planned, do they?)

Dh is on call, I can watch all by myself and sob like the soppy woman I am

Kelly1978 · 08/10/2006 20:48

i wish I could have had the tummy tuck! Had an overhang for ages after the dts.

MrsFish · 08/10/2006 20:51

Thanks everyone.

I carried my first child no problem, so I am hoping the next time will be fine too. Luckily I get pg quickly

buktus · 08/10/2006 20:53

my tummy tuck is in 4 weeks and i am watching the programme at the moment, just watching the bit about quads oh my god cant even imaging it

expatinscotland · 08/10/2006 21:05

that baby is SO small!

MrsFish · 08/10/2006 21:10

OMG how much hard work is that going to be. I find running after one 15 month old tiring

beetroot · 08/10/2006 21:11

bit boring i think apart fromthe quads

don't give a toss about celebs

PanicPants · 08/10/2006 21:15

Quads - sleeping 7pm-7am? My God, what are they doing to them?

Kelly1978 · 08/10/2006 21:58

doesn't look like the vaginal delivery s going to happen in time.

Berrie · 08/10/2006 21:59

nah

Piffle · 08/10/2006 22:00

yeah wheres the birth huh?

pupuce · 08/10/2006 22:02

Hi Lulu

Love the fact that they expect that woman bouncing on red birth ball would give birth before 10PM... absolutely no way would she do that with the way she is currently coping and with that much interaction and bright lights.
DH says... full moon was last night I'm sure they were busier than !!

PanicPants · 08/10/2006 22:05

lol pupuce, I especially loved the way they said 'she's 3 cm now' like it was going to happen any minute!

Kelly1978 · 08/10/2006 22:05

i did wonder why she was looking so perky when they said she was going to give birth on the show. then they said she was only at 3cms...

marthamoo · 08/10/2006 22:17

Sorry, should have out what time it was on but I see you all found it anyway.

Why did they pick such inane presenters? That bloke in for the C-section - I would have walloped him one, blimey he was drippy.

Penny Lancaster and Gaby Roslin on C-sections - "oooh no, I don't understand it, you're missing out aren't you?" Oh sod off you twerps.

The woman with the newborn baby girl nuzzling up to her bare breast...Penny Lancaster "oooh, are you breast-feeding?" No, I'm painting the Forth Bridge you stooopid woman.

Didn't make me broody at all - hoorah!

That made me laugh too - ooh baby will be born on the show, 3cms dilated at 9.30, show ends at 10...I don't think so

I thought there was no real need for the programme to be live unless it was some mad 24 hour thing the chances of a natural birth happening were pretty small. Also thought they should have left out baby Daniels story if he is unwell, the poor mother did not seem happy and gabby Roslin looked a bit shaken afterwards (well for like a second!). best wishes to that family.

Lilliput · 08/10/2006 22:43

My dh thought the programme had the feel of Cosmetic Surgery Live which was also channel 5

WestCountryLass · 08/10/2006 23:04

Hehehe, I too thought it tres amusant that they sad were optimistic of a live birth at 9.45pm

Hearing about baby Daviel with his diaphargmatic hernia was very sad. My first baby had a CDH and lots of other complications. I am sure someone will mention the treatment and why we didn't have it, but it was 10 years ago and they didn't do that then

marthamoo · 08/10/2006 23:08

Yes, I hope Daniel is OK Gaby Roslin looked kind of uncomfortable when Daniel's Mum said yes she still worried he wasn't going to make it - that didn't fit in with the whole upbeat, surface-skimming fluffiness of the programme, did it, and Gaby Roslin very quickly cut to someone else.

Watched the live c section and found it really reassuring. Im booked in for one at the end of the month due to a complication and i was soooooo nervous and worried about the whole procedure, every aspect of it concerned me. But watching the live birth tonight has really made me more at ease. What a lovely outcome.

pupuce · 09/10/2006 09:09

It wasn't Gabi Roslyn but Gabi Logan... not that it mattered !

Zippetydoodahzippetyday · 09/10/2006 13:11

What happened with the normal birth? It showed you her husband cuddling the baby but no sign of her, when did she give birth and how come we didn't see it?
