They have been in and out of enough chemists. Can't be that hard to get some microgynon. Surely there would be contraceptives in many houses, and condoms in the loos of most public places.

I am pretty certain if they can get bullets and food they can get some condoms.

I think the talking zombie thing comes from a comic episode that had the group passing by a herd and they heard talking/whispering but it turns out to be a large group of survivors who've smeared zombie guts all over them and are hiding in plain sight. I might be wrong but I think there was also the implication they were doing it to hide from other humans - since they've now become much more vicious/dangerous than zombies.

Oh, that would make sense.

And yes, the survivors seem more dangerous than the walkers now! I think I'd form a women-only Amazon group to protect myself from rapist males, who seem to be the main survivor group. The nice men seem a minority. No men in my camp unless they are sons of women in the group or prepubscent or 'proven' males who can be trusted not to rape and murder. Michonne would be in charge.

On ammo - they do run out. But they find more, usually. America is after all gun capital of the world. It will all be gone eventually though.

It's not been shown how they do it (as far as I know) just that they have done it and are wearing zombie dressing up suits made (partially probably) of actual zombie skin. They are deffo baddies though, not scared goodies.

Yes we have a LOT of guns/ammo here in the US. I wonder if anyone who still knows how to make bullets the old way would have survived. That'd be a useful skill.

In a fanfic I read once, they were still at the prison and went on a run. Carol went to the library and got books on animal hide tanning, gardening, etc. If they could stay in once place long enough, learning the old skills would be a good idea.

The original survivors focussed much more on that idea - how does mankind survive when civilisation is gone? The remake was more about feral gangs and government conspiracy. TWD comic books currently seem to be more about the interpersonal relationships (not the romances, the idea of different tribes, many hostile to one another). And of course, they have the walkers to contend with. But much as I adore TWD I think the approach taken by Survivors (both versions) is probably more interesting if less gory.
