Fab episode
Sniggered at walkers stuck in the tents.
Really don't see any sexual tension between C and D more like two tortured souls who find a bond.

BumGravy · 17/11/2014 22:49

Did anyone else snigger at the poor zombies stuck in the sleeping bags?
The thing is who does'nt have problems getting out of a sleeping bag :)
I think Carol and Daryll are soulmates. But not in a treesex way.

DorisIsALittleBitPartial · 17/11/2014 23:53

Great episode tonight! Although I did remember a lot of it from the spoiler page when it was filming, dammit.
So Carol and Beth are in the hospital together and Daryl is on a rescue mission. If he could only get one of them out who would he choose?

CheerfulYank · 18/11/2014 00:11

I think he'd pick Carol, but I think Carol would make him choose Beth.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 18/11/2014 00:11

Cannot wait to watch this tomorrow.

Will come back and squeal. Grin

CheerfulYank · 18/11/2014 00:53

I'm going to watch as soon as the kiddos are in bed! Can't wait, making DH watch with me!

CheerfulYank · 18/11/2014 00:55

I see far off tree sex for them.

I think it's in the future, I just think neither of them has nearly healed enough yet.

hopefulpuffin · 18/11/2014 02:36

I was surprised at HOW Carol wound up int the hospital (trying not to include any spoilers). Okay, here's only a semi-spoiler - I thought she would fake some kind of injury, get herself in and then go all bad-ass on 'em.

I'm glad they have their weapons back.

I did laugh about zombie tents and sleeping bags. Who'd have thought they could be so easily out foxed by a zipper! I can imagine getting a big family tent, luring a bunch in with a dead deer or something and zipping it up. Done!

But then there's the question, if they were in the zipped up tent, how'd they get bit? Did the person in the tent let an infected but pre-zombified person in and then zip the tent up after them? Presumably if the tent had a hole (I didn't see one) even a zombie could eventually make his way out.

ZacharyQuack · 18/11/2014 03:15

Some of the sleeping bags had bloodstains and bullet holes in them, like the people were shot and died while they were in the sleeping bags. Then when they zombified, they couldn't get out.

The wee kid at the refuge was sad.

I loved all the smoke and fire imagery in the episode, which tied in with Carol's talk about how the person she was before had burned away and then the person she was at the prison had gone as well.

Daryl's face when Carol was taken at the end! He loves her Grin

CheerfulYank · 18/11/2014 03:29

Always knew I liked the cut of your jib. :o

guaranteedpersonality · 18/11/2014 04:19

I think he does love her - burning the poor child walker was an act of love - but 'not like that'. There was no sexual tension at all ( and I think there has been in the past) just two kindred spirits. It was a good episode, I enjoyed it but I didn't think it was any better than the previous episodes.

I thought the flashback to the prison was good. It made the parallel between Rick and Carol even clearer to me. Both have done awful, dreadful things (however justified) and now how do they deal with it.

Loved the tank - I have to assume that's how they are going to get into the hospital and the Morley cigarettes. Surely that's an xfiles reference.

I still think this is being set up for Beth to save them (then die).

ZacharyQuack · 18/11/2014 05:09

I wonder if Glen and Maggie will get back to the church (I assume that they'll head back to rejoin the group now that the Washington mission is kaput) in time to join the rescue Beth and Carol mission.

Thinking about the timeline, Daryl & Carol left at night before the showdown with the cannibals, Glen and Maggie left the next day. Both groups spent a night away (G&M at the book shop and D&C at the refuge) and now it must be the next day and Daryl and Noah are driving back to the church. Assuming the fire engine is still working, and GI Red isn't still having a breakdown and Eugene is fit to travel, G&M might be driving back at the same time.

ZacharyQuack · 18/11/2014 05:12

Daryl definitely loves Carol, they're soulmates.

ZacharyQuack · 18/11/2014 05:36

Sorry, I got that timeline wrong. D&C left at night and spent the same night at the shelter, and D&N are coming back the next day. G&M left in the morning/noon of this day and spent that night in the bookshop, so they are coming back to the church a day after D&N.

limitedperiodonly · 18/11/2014 08:33

The red car was abandoned in the city. It rang a bell. I remembered that someone had a red car but couldn't remember who. I missed the tank.

Abra1d · 18/11/2014 09:25

Glen had a red car, but he drove it out to the campsite in episode 1. Very loudly and unfortunately a whole load of walkers followed the sound and there was a walker attack during which Amy and Jim were bitten. And possibly Carol's husband, Ed, too.

I think that Carol's on the way out. She has a really dead look in her eyes sometimes, as though she's gone too far and doesn't want to live with herself any longer. I think she'll rescue Beth and sacrifice herself in the process. Being in that refuge will have reminded her of Sophia and Lizzie and Mika and all the other dead children. She'll be wondering why she has to go on.

I hope not, though. I really like her.

susiedaisy · 18/11/2014 11:20

Who's book on child abuse was it D or C's. I thought it was Daryl's but other forums are arguing saying it was carols.

WillWorkForMoney · 18/11/2014 11:34

Pretty sure Carol put it into the bag, though I might be wrong!

susiedaisy · 18/11/2014 11:38

Carol put a book into her rucksack that she was wearing on her back but not sure who's rucksack it was that the book fell out of. Ok think I will have to rewatch scene.

PaulaAtMummyKnowsBest · 18/11/2014 11:38

fantastic episode!
Susie....Carol picked the book up and put it into Daryls bag

I felt really sad at the mum and child walkers inside the refuge. Imagine thinking you had finally found somewhere safe and then that happens

susiedaisy · 18/11/2014 11:49

Ok so just rewatching one scene carol put a Tom sawyer book into her rucksack.

Loved Daryl's description of the painting on the wall. ' looks like a dogs wiped his ass across it. GrinGrin

Also wouldn't the water in that cooler of gone bad by now?

Abra1d · 18/11/2014 11:58

If it was in a sealed unit, which I suppose it kind of is, it might not be too bad.

IdaBlankenship · 18/11/2014 13:21

Yes Paula, Carol packed a copy of Tom Sawyer in her bag, the abuse book fell out of Daryl's bag.

Love the interactions between Carol and Daryl, they make a great team - I loved how she held his hand before the van fell off the bridge. She had better not die Angry

ApocalypseNowt · 18/11/2014 13:23

Zombies stuck in tents and sleeping bag are v funny. I have amended my zombie plan to include a trip to Millets Grin

Daryll does love Carol. We can only hope that the next episode is him taking his top off and saving her.

limitedperiodonly · 18/11/2014 13:43

That's reminded me. When I was small my mum used to leave my teenage brother in charge of me if she had to go out.

He used to tie my sleeves and the feet of my tights together like a straitjacket and leave me on the living room floor while he'd go off and play records in his room or see his friends.

He'd always release me just before she came home and I never thought to tell her. Sometimes I'd be like that for over an hour Confused. If she'd known she'd have killed him.

I think it would be a bit too dangerous to try that with a zombie. It's just that the zombie struggling in the sleeping bag brought back a forgotten memory from my troubled childhood Wink
