Carrying on from thread two.

I thought we might be a bit short on space on the old thread (especially if somebody we like goes!) so here's a shiny new one for Hallowe'en results onwards Smile

I'm a bit late today.. I thought Caroline's dress was way better than the netting one, but she seemed surprisingly self conscious about it clinging on the tummy (for a tv presenter- she must know that would only draw attention there?!).

I like the charlesstone in flat shoes- heels make the knee bends look inelegant rather then fun!

So lovely to see Claud again but now I miss Zoe too!

Sparklingbrook · 22/11/2014 21:32

Yes, I hate to say it but Tess really is terrible and needs to go. We may as well have kept Bruce. Sorry Tess, you can host the One Show/Loose Women or something.

Silkchiffon · 22/11/2014 21:32

That's interesting Hainault. Whoever's choreography it was there was a marked lack of the invention and humour of other charleston's in this and other series.

CocktailQueen · 22/11/2014 21:37

Loved Simon tonight -the best dance of the night for me!
Poor Steve. Have voted x3 for him but he may be in danger.
Jake did nothing for me - though janette is very bendy!
Frankie dull dull dull. Pixie a very good dancer but dull.
Liked Caroline but yep, she nearly fell.

ResIpsaLoquitur · 22/11/2014 22:19

It was a bit mean to give Steve a jive. I'd like to have seen him do an Argentine Tango.

Silkchiffon · 22/11/2014 22:45

Spoiler is up on Digital Spy for people who can't take any more of Tess this weekend Smile

OohOod · 23/11/2014 07:54

Who was the bloke they kept showing sat near Mary Berry? He was waving Simon/Kristinas magazine at the camera?

Samcro · 23/11/2014 08:00

OohOod he is in Blue with Simon

silyoj · 23/11/2014 08:05

Have just discovered my 2yo loves Strictly as much as me. He tries to copy the moves. it's not successful but the jazz hands compensate.

Loved Caroline (bless her with the dress) and Pixie last night - think she was robbed to get less than Jake. My bet is for Steve to go. He looked really uncomfortable.

OwlCapone · 23/11/2014 08:38

I don't think it was mean for Steve to have to do a jive. If you enter the competition, you need to dance the dances IMO.

OohOod · 23/11/2014 09:39

Thanks Samcro

digerd · 23/11/2014 10:04

I was disappointedwith Pixie's Charleston choreography/her presentation of it as she looked quite ungainly in some of her moves '
Dancing on bent knees most of the time was the cause, I think and all 3 good female dancers were playing to the audience as on stage rather than interacting with their partners as ballroom dancers should do.

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 23/11/2014 10:04

Well they didn't win the competition, because the couple who raised the most for the charity won, which is fair enough.

They were the only couple to score 3 perfect tens though Grin and omfg they were utterly amazing.

They did the Charleston. They were the only couple to get proper lifts in - he had her over his head for just about half the dance and they even did a lift when she dropped head first from his shoulder. Fuck me they were amazing. And my weedy son isn't weedy any more. He was smoking hot Grin

They did a lift where she was over his head lying flat and he held her with one arm down near her ladygarden (ahem) they did a side lift, they did the one where she goes underneath and hit his backside (ahem again!) and more I can't even remember their foot work was pin sharp and the actions and facial expressions were just fabulous.

He had a ball and you could see the two of them were loving it with every step. And seriously they were good. They've been practising for 3 months though, one or two nights a week.

GrouchyKiwi · 23/11/2014 10:39

That's so cool, Frau! Well done your son.

Tensmumym · 23/11/2014 14:12

Mighty Monkseal recaps perfectly as ever. I love this part: "Most important though, Claudia is back, and just about holding it together until the very end, when Kristina says something sweet that sets her off and chokes her up and then it all feels very genuine and a bit real, which let’s face it is anomalous and terrifying on this show. Fortunately we’re back with Tess repeating back what she’s just heard an octave higher and calling it an interview shortly afterwards. Phew."

OwlCapone · 23/11/2014 19:33

No one here to bitch about how plastic Barry looks?

VeryThelma · 23/11/2014 19:34

I am but 5 mins behind!!

Sparklingbrook · 23/11/2014 19:34

Copacabloodybana. How predictable.

sassytheFIRST · 23/11/2014 19:35

Looks v odd!

Sparklingbrook · 23/11/2014 19:35

At least he's singing live I suppose.

OohOod · 23/11/2014 19:36

I'm not sure I've ever seen Barry manilow before

VeryThelma · 23/11/2014 19:37

Yes he has the look of Ken but where is Barbie? Loving Kevin

baldisbeautiful · 23/11/2014 19:37

Bloody loved that! Singing was a bit rough but the dancing was divine!!! Wish we could have a week of just the professional couples up against each other, so we can see how its really done..

OwlCapone · 23/11/2014 19:38

Plastic but a great performance!

VeryThelma · 23/11/2014 19:39

Yes it was great Grin
