I thought it was a much better show this week, maybe it is the Blackpool effect? I'm not sure I liked all of the extra dancers but they were good in some of the routines.
I agree with Craig that Simon is a bit too stiff but wow that lift at the end! He did amazingly well. I'm rooting for him now, he's improved loads and I think he's becoming more likeable.
Jake was much better. Didn't have the same wow factor as Simon but he's definitely upped his game which I'm relieved about. I'm not sure he's ever going to top that salsa though but I hope he does. He's reminding me of Sophie Ellis-Bextor from last year, who did an amazing charleston in week 2 but never managed to top it and the rest of her dances were just on a quite good level.
Poor Sunetra really isn't a Latin dancer, I wouldn't be surprised if she isn't bottom 2 tonight. I've never noticed before but it looked like there was quite a big height difference between her and Brendan, that must be difficult. I like her as a person but her partnership with Brendan doesn't excite me.
Mark was as adorable as ever, I was expecting him to do well. I hope he does AT soon, I'd like to see if he can pull off mean and moody.
Frankie and Pixie were very good, as always. I think Pixie is a better performer so her dances come across as more exciting but Frankie is more likeable so it balances out.
Caroline was much better this week. Steve was okay, I normally like him but it was boring compared to all the other dances. Judy was better tonight but she's as stiff as ever. I think it'll be Judy and Steve or Judy and Sunetra in the bottom 2.
