There's also murmurings of there being a Dee Valley Hospital serial killer. Explains the sudden influx of hospital staff - Dennis's dad, Lyndsay's sister, Carmel/Mercedes nurse cousin. Sandy Roscoe is coming back - also a nurse.

Gonna jump right onto this (previously be-lurked) thread to ask if anyone else thinks SILAS could've killed old Mercy? He tried once before, right? And there have been a few surreptitious mentions of him lately...

I am massively disappointed that dodger is nico's dad. I had a crackpot theory it was actually Patrick (who had somehow managed to plant a fake memory in Sienna's subconscious) and once work got out we could properly expose his evilness and also, wonderfully, get rid of him. But no, dodger is everyone's daddy now!

Jason turns agrophobic - another Hannah style plot coming up there.

Shane turns up but the whole thing sounds totally dull so I won't bore you with it.

Yeah with a name like Joe Junior, little Lofty has to be Freddie's. I read ages ago that the truth about the paternity comes out at Xmas (because it's that big a storyline ) so there might be more to come.

What I struggle with, is how the hospital can have done any kind of paternity testing when neither of the putative fathers were there at the time of the testing! (and quite frankly does anyone care who the daddy is anymore).

Am guessing that Joe and Kim have had some kind of affair in the past which resulted in pregnancy (hence the baby/pregnancy references) and that there will be a tediously dull episode at Xmas when it all comes out together with the Freddie/Lindsay revelation - and then hopefully they'll all get knocked down by a bus

Nothing, really. They just seem to despise each other. And Kim was very keen to give Freddie a false alibi so that Lyndsay could be with Freddie, rather than Joe.

She wasn't odd about Esther's baby, she was odd about Esther's suicide attempt. But I agree, something's gone on.

And thank you for correcting me on storyline. It's a bit bad when I can't even follow he plot of Hollyoaks properly, isn't it? Maybe if I stopped roaring at the telly in anger I might know what was actually happening?

No, there's quite a lot going on. And everyone has the same facial expression regardless of the situation. It can be quite hard to follow. There's been quite a few blink and you've missed it moments which have turned out to be quite important.

So, one son killed her daughter. Both dead. That daughters grandchild gone now I guess.
One daughter's husband killed by her niece. Then her other husband killed. And that daughter now dead too.
Another daughter pretended to have hiv, was held hostage by a serial killer. Killed a few people. She's dead now too, and her son long gone also.
One daughter in Spain, can't return. Couldn't have kids.
Another journo daughter (Michaela) used to come back to Chester a lot, but now could not be arsed to come back for poor Carmel ' s funeral.
