Isn't it just Balamory but moved to a slightly different situation?
Weird

I don't like this programme. How is she a 'granny'? It is turned over when it comes on!

housemum · 12/10/2006 20:00

And how come everyone has to change into work clothes? OK I can understand throwing on overalls but doesn't the taxi driver go for a complete change too? She could have had another fare in that time.

justamindlesszombiemum · 13/10/2006 18:19

bubble99, round here the first time mums don't look much older than the kids on me too, i am practically a pensioner at baby clinic! i saw that episode with raymond and the singer, she was obviously mute except for singing. bizarre

bunny75 · 13/10/2006 22:04

"Where did the time go?" where did the bloody talent go more like!!!! Pile of poo......the people who make this 'programme' are enjoying some seriously phsychadelic drugs if u ask me

lullamay · 08/12/2006 20:51

why have they changed the tunes?

Macdog · 09/12/2006 16:56

I know!
Just when I'd learned the ones they had, they go and change the ruddy things!!
Makes me appreciate the originals (never thought I'd ever say that)

I found this thread by Googling 'Granny Murray' and nearly choked on my bolognese reading some of the posts here - thanks for that! What I was really after was (to settle a bet between my partner and myself) does anybody KNOW the age of the actress who plays Granny Murray? I take the point well, that if she were really a granny, she would have caused some gossip in most streets of Britain even by todays standards! I await any good info with bated breath!

sillysausages · 21/01/2007 17:09

my ds loves this sings the song talks about granny murray and says hello to lamp posts etc when we ae walking round.

Some of it is defintely newcastle and edinburgh, glasgow and tinas taxi seems to cover these distances in seconds. ( i think it must be somethg to do with tim e travel)

Are the tams in manchester???

very strange but better than numberjacks

whoopsfallenoveragain · 21/01/2007 17:11

I've just watched it for the first time and got confused by the whole thing!

saltire · 21/01/2007 17:15

Having watched Still Game at Hogmanay, i can't watch me to now (not that i ever liked to any way). The Granny Murray actress plays Isa in Still Game and got her kit off! Not a pretty sight

Ravey · 21/01/2007 17:50

Just found out - according to the Edinburgh evening news, Granny M is 36 and has 2 kids, youngest 1yr, for anybody that wants to know!

yesplease · 17/02/2007 19:42

Oh My God. I find this chat so depressing. Do your children do anything else other than watch TV? Don't you know that watching TV at a young age can cause learning difficulties and autism?

TheArmadillo · 17/02/2007 19:48

you can't cause autism by watching tv - that is a ridiculous suggestion and one that blames autism on bad parenting which in itself is preposterous

And yes any child who has watched tv obviously does nothing else beside this.

Any more offensive comments to make or is that it?

CountTo10 · 17/02/2007 19:50

Sorry yesplease are you joking??

My lo who is 2 loves this programme - he applies it to his own life and uses it to think about daddy whilst he's at work. He also loves the music and we dance and sing to it - plus he's now turned into a junior navigator as we have to sing the I'm on my way..... and he merrily directs us where we need to go!!! His fave is Rudy. I personally can't stand it but he seems to get so much out of it I gave in!!!

TheArmadillo · 17/02/2007 19:54

that was supposed to be autism and learning difficulties.

Avcome4maPaw · 15/09/2011 07:05

This programme is starting soon after my Son gets up broadcast about 6.30am. He likes it, it's not such a bad programme although I do leave the room to make his breakfast especially when the annoying pink taxi driver is on and starts speaking. There's too much pink in the World as it is. I recently had a carer try and tell me that my Son was watching a girls programme by looking at Peppa Pig, how ridiculous is that. As in the eyes of marketing we're just consumers, it's our duty as parents to inform them that we don't like their colour genderising. Back to the original subject matter, kill of Tina, I suggest a traffic accident perhaps then she will do it and make it to the morgue on time.

smith23 · 01/06/2014 07:13

We're only talking about one programme here, with reference to another, not the entire TV network
