Im still watching & gripped every week. There are loads of links to various theories on the C4 website but I try but to read them as it often spoils things.
My own (probably cr*p)theory is that the Others are there to carry out various experiments on the people to monitor their reactions. But that doesn't really explain how everyone is linked together from various meetings before they got on the plane....Hmmmm

And wheres Walt gone ??

esp the way ethan went on about not enough for both her and baby??

oh and thinking about it, seeing 'Ziek' talking to ethan in nursery flashback talking about 'he' wont be happy, seems this hillbilly beardy walking through jungle killing people is all a ruse, cos he was clean shaven and smart dressed??.....i think theres a sandles resort just over tuther side of island

my DH reckons that they all "died" on the plane crash and the island is like a "spiritual" holding ground while they are given time to tie up the emotional ends of their lives etc Bit deep but an interesting idea and no wierder than the "visions" they have been having - black horse, walter dripping wet etc.
I am totally addicted and live for Tuesday nights
There is some rather pleasant male eye candy as well

Henry Gale (same name as Dorothy's uncle in Wizard of Oz - and there's a balloon in that too) is spooky. He's the same actor who played a psycho in The Practice and he gives me the creeps.

I cannot believe he is genuine.

we ve gone over the purgetory(sp) theme too...and when anna lucia and sayeed where in jungle when she tied him up then released him..she gave him a gun and said kill me and he said how could i kill you when were already dead?????..now that could mean above orrrr..could just mean that because she lost her baby and he lost his first love and shannon they were 'dead' inside??hmmm..strokes chin musing these riddles

i think it's cos they're dead inside - ie. both lost a loved one.

i have a snippet of info that i gleaned off the richard & judy show when they were interviewing the korean guy, the fat guy and mr. echo.

don't read on if you don't want to know

but if you slow down the black smoke, you see images of that person's life, so it's like their past. are they running away from their past, or have they faced up to it?

my own musings: mr. echo had reconciled himself to his past and exonerated himself, now he sees himself as a priest and so he could face the black cloud. charlie hasn't sorted out his past / drug addiction, so was scared of the black cloud.

my theory is that they have all had troubled pasts and that they are having some sort of therapy session i.e 'imagine you are all on an island'.

I saw 'Charlie' interviewed on the J Ross show and he said that the idea behind the show would fill about 2/3 series but to stretch it out there is a lot of 'filler' episodes.

Why oh why don't they talk e.g.have Kate and Claire told anyone about the bunker they had found. No just keep that one to yourselves love. Why?????
