YYY agree about the analysis. It does seem is if the whole of Strictly is trying to appeal to as many people as poss. what's wrong with making the content more educational? See above for school marmish attitudes!!

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 13/11/2013 11:48

ITT was utter bobbins, wasn't it? I'm going to write a strong letter to the Beeb demanding more proper content and less of people pissing about in their identikit 'I only live here while I'm doing Strictly' flats.

Karen could have had an extra what, four or five minutes instead of us having to look at Aljaz and Janette's stupid cushions.

RedPencils · 13/11/2013 14:30

I used to love on ITT when Len tried to teach Claudia the dances.

ppeatfruit · 13/11/2013 16:20

Or a Redpencil ? [TheHeadless] (I like it being bobbins btw) i have terrible memories of school sewing lessons and never being able to thread the bleedin' bobbin grin .Claudia is n't a dancer according to her biog. from the beeb yes that would be fun Red.

digerd · 13/11/2013 16:34

Must admit I did watch the flat thing and was amazed at how small but tidy and clean it was and that she didn't cook. Bananas with everything I found weird. An active man like Aljaz needs lots of fuel for those muscles. Steak and veg for him and tit bits for her if she wants.[grin[

I found a video of a similar flat on You Tube with Karen and Kevin - before Kevin joined Strictly. It was all about her and then a quick flash of her boyfriend Kevin . She called it her flat her Crib, which I thought was odd.

digerd · 13/11/2013 16:48

Just found it on You Tube < Kevin was introduced at the beginning of the video not the end>.
Karen Hauer's Crib on ITT 20/12/2012

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 13/11/2013 16:57

They call the feature if you can call it that Strictly Cribs, so maybe that's where she got it?

When Kevin joined Strictly I also remembered that episode, with her briefly introducing her 'boyfriend Kevin'. I thought then that Kevin was an unlikely-seeming name for a dancer.

Turns out that he's an unlikely-looking person for a dancer Grin I luff him though.

digerd · 13/11/2013 17:13

He seems like a really sweet young man, our KevinSmile. Looked very young in that video last year.
Ooh, Ian on ITT tonight and we will see which dances they are doing as he critiques their training.

mrsjay · 13/11/2013 17:14

I am getting a soft spot for Kevin he seems just lovely

digerd · 13/11/2013 17:28

I looked at Joanna Leunis dancing a Paso to look at her heel leads, but I couldn't take my eyes of her upper body awesome expression and gorgeous leg extensions/back bends. I did manage to see her natural walks which she did do with her heels first, but all her twizzle turns she has to do on her toes. Also saw a slow heels together heel turn as in the Foxtrot.

thistlelicker · 13/11/2013 18:35

Why does Zoe need to wee them super duper high heel! When she danced with Ian I thought she was gonna snap her neck Shock

thistlelicker · 13/11/2013 18:41

Hahahaha ha them mocking abbey And her hair on it takes two

thistlelicker · 13/11/2013 18:58

Oh myyyyy Ben in cycling shorts :-)ShockShockWinkWink

RedPencils · 13/11/2013 21:07

I do like Abby but she's such a poseur, Grin at them taking the piss.

Ben is fine figure of a man. Mrs Ben's a lucky lady.

digerd · 13/11/2013 21:36

At least Zoe's killer heels did not have thick clodhoppy platform soles this week. Her soles of the shoes were flexible and she could bend them I noticed. She is so tall and doesn't need those height of heels to make her legs look even longer than they are. They just give her balance problems.
I laughed at her face and bent legs hugging his in the tango position he grabbed her intoGrin. She looked so relieved when they went into the more relaxed and apart latin hold. Grin

ppeatfruit · 14/11/2013 11:52

True digerd But they had her coming down the stairs in the last series and it looked like she was about to fall arse over tit in them. she mentioned them when she was presenting the Chris Evans show and said they're in her cupboard but she never wears them away from Strictly Confused

MsInterpret · 14/11/2013 21:00

Don't think anyone's linked to Monkseal for this week yet.

Enjoy! Grin

OodaresingingoftheDoctorDonna · 14/11/2013 21:16

On yahoo news there's something about Karen & Ola fighting after Saturdays show. Pascha holding Katen back?

FrankelInFoal · 14/11/2013 21:27

digerd, I missed your post last night. Joanna Leunis is just hypnotic isn't she! She had leukaemia when she was a child, and also danced with our friend Slavik - they were world amateur champions in 2008.

RedPencils · 14/11/2013 21:53

Ood - that was last week. Karen apparently told
Ola she had to be at the back in the pro dances because she's rubbish. I thought it was a load if rubbish but Surprisingly the BBC commented saying Karen had apologised and it was over and done with.
The idea that Pasha was holding them back makes me howl with laughter.

OodaresingingoftheDoctorDonna · 15/11/2013 07:04

Saw the twitter thing but the news thing made it sound more recent. Though yahoo isn't the best source!

FrankelInFoal · 15/11/2013 08:06

The story I read said that Pasha held Karen back from chasing after Ola after she left the training room in tears.

Dancing can be a very bitchy world. My teacher has told me plenty of competition horror stories including one particular school who used to more or less "attack" her pupils on the floor - they'd deliberately dance into them/cross their paths/try to trip them up, etc.
