Yes that was when he was with Kara.. Kara wasn't there for the dress run (cant remember why) so think James was camera blocking it with Artem but having lots of fun with it! If you YouTube Kara & Artem's rumba you can see it properly ..one of my favourite Strictly rumbas.

Kristina posted a pic on Twitter of her toe, looked so nasty! Feel sorry for her having to jive in flats though! Doesn't look as good imo.

Hello everyone! I was on this thread loads last year, but held off until now this year, as it sucks me in and I end up obsessing over it with my fellow Strictly fans.

Thank you for that clip of James and Artem doing the rumba together, I had never seen that - hilarious! And ever so slightly sexy, mmmm...

Hi Andi nice to have you join us again. wrf to the rumba James was well up for it but Artem ^did* seem quite embarrassed !!

I think despite Artem's very serious face when doing any proper practice, he actually quite easily gets the giggles any other time. Did you see James mugging with Kevin for the cameras, both of them pretending that Artem was going to beat up Kevin for doing an impersonation of him? Artem couldn't stop laughing then either.

I've competed there once It was absolutely amazing.

The point Brendan made about jive on ITT - he said it is about pumping your leg (and he demonstrated) - is that correct? No one else seems to have said it's about pumping, they all say it's flicking. Just wondering.

I guess it depends on the terminology you want to use yesbutnobut. You have to be careful as a teacher not to confuse pupils by using terms they can take too literally. My teacher always refers to "use of the ankles and knees" rather than flicking/pumping. The ankle and knee joints have to act as shock absorbers in order to generate the bounce action, if you dance with straight legs you don't achieve the right kind of bounce - the Samba bounce has an upward motion, whereas the jive bounce is more downwards and into the floor.

I'm so glad they've not going to Wembley. Not enjoyed the shows there the last couple of years. Blackpool is great though!

I love Blackpool, so much better than Wembley. The ballroom is soooo gorgeous.

Frankel explains the bounce perfectly. The accent is upwards in the Samba and down into the ground for the Jive.
Poor Christina. She will not have her high heels to support and relieve the stretching of her calf muscles in flat shoes. She will be dancing on the balls of her feet and have to lower her heel to the floor on certain moves. Hope she doesn't get cramp

Hey why hasn't anyone mentioned the amazing John (tells the truth) Borrowman who was on ITT2 last night ?! He said ,among other enlightening things that viewers shouldn't just vote for the ones who are "just having fun" e.g. Dave because it'll be detrimental to the actual good dancers who are showing they've been on a journey. He even said that Natalie is more likely to go (cue from Zoe!!) because she's been so good from the start and hasn't improved much.

Agreed ppeat - my first ITT of the year and i thought JB was very insightful. I know he can be a bit 'Marmite' but i like him and as a trained dancer, he's actually got useful things to add (Emma Willis anyone )

Didn't get to see much though and am out at fireworks tonight so will miss the main show too - i expect a running commentary from you lovely ladies so it feels like i am sat on my sofa instead of freezing my bits off!

p.s - i hope JB is right and Natalie does go.. not because i dislike her (i don't really care either way) but it would leave it wide open. No way she'd get booted on a dance off though so am pretty resigned to her being in the final. Not likely to win though i don't think!
