ppeat
ITT on BBC2 - It Takes Two- is daily at 6.30-7pm. I try to remember to watch it as usually getting dinner ready. It is informative when the ballroom experts are on - Ian and Karen Hardy.
Craig was on yesterday and repeated that Natalie is a gorgeous dancer, but did not give her a ten as she wobbled a couple of times. As she is so skilled he is very critical of her dancing.
They showed a repeat of her lovely head, body and arm movements in the V.Waltz.
Bonnie L did appear in dancing on ice, she was brilliant in the lifts, but her solo skating was weak. She was still so tiny and flexible.

ppeatfruit · 05/11/2013 08:13

Yes I watch it too digerd CRH was quite human and I totally agree he should be picky when it comes to trained celebs like Natalie in fact the other judges would do well to copy him!

Fiderer · 05/11/2013 08:28

I really like Craig on ITT, he has time to explain his reasoning and he seems to genuinely love being a judge. Him once a week, Karen on Tuesday, Ian on Weds (preferably without a daft costume like last week's pumpkin) make it worth watching.

Though they still put in silly fillers. Len used to do his Lens thing on ITT as well, not on the results show. I increasingly get the impression he's just going through the motions.

ppeatfruit · 05/11/2013 09:12

I agree Fiderer I'm not sure why a programme that SHOULD appeal to everyone is being aimed at the idiots ;DCs are quite capable of watching intelligently aren't they? who can we talk to??

mrsjay · 05/11/2013 09:20

just seen on lorraine the lovely vincent is going to be sashaying into the jungle Grin

CeliaFate · 05/11/2013 09:24

Oh no! Vincent gave up Strictly for I'm a Celebrity? What a come down.

mrsjay · 05/11/2013 09:28

no he gave up strictly for his and flavias stage show I think he is on celeb to advertise it more than likely

IndiansOnTheRailroad · 05/11/2013 10:28

When they announced they weren't going to be in it this year they cited 3 reasons - his new baby, which was due in the early weeks, her wedding, and their stage show. I'm a celeb presumably fits in with all his various commitments and it pays, so why not, I suppose. I have a friend who's done it. He doesn't regret it, although it was a really tough experience.

mrsjay · 05/11/2013 10:30

oh new baby and wedding aww didnt know that

tell me who your friend is Grin

CeliaFate · 05/11/2013 11:25

I didn't know he had a new baby on the way, or that Flavia was getting married. yes, who IS your friend?

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 05/11/2013 11:59

Yep, Flavia's getting married to Jimi Mistry. They got engaged in January I think.

Just came across videos on You Tube of Ben doing the Rumba and Flavia with Louis in the Show Dance Final last year.
Also DWTS with Kellie and Derik Hough.(sp). Sorry can't do links.

FrankelInFoal · 05/11/2013 15:36

Derek Hough trained with Lorna Lee for quite a while I believe, as well as attending Italian Conti. He's a very talented choreographer/dancer. His rumba with Nicole Shirtslinger was lovely,

FrankelInFoal · 05/11/2013 15:36

Italia Conti

digerd · 05/11/2013 16:49

Frankel
Derek is indeed a skilled and talented dancer and choreographer. Nicole has beautiful leg lines and presentation, but again rather balletic in her stepping leg and hip movements, especially in comparison with Joanna Leunis but also other profs.
Wish I could do "links".
Derek and Kellie danced a wonderful contemporary freestyle. < not that contemporary dance is ballroom/latin, but shows Derek's versatility>

mrsjay · 05/11/2013 16:53

Yep, Flavia's getting married to Jimi Mistry. They got engaged in January I think.

thats lovely i knew they were together but didnt realise they had got engaged

FrankelInFoal · 05/11/2013 17:00

I agree about Joanna Leunis, I just love her style.

Do you mean the Jazz routine Derek did with Kellie, with the giant glowsticks?

thistlelicker · 05/11/2013 17:16

What do they do with all th lovely costumes ?

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 05/11/2013 17:31

Sell them thistlelicker, here's Abbey's dress from last week and here's the rest of them. They go back a few series too.

Quite a lot of them get sold, though they keep some and alter/dye them for other dances. I remember my teacher telling me she has seen Rachel Steven's beautiful Foxtrot dress on a teenage girl at a competition a few weeks after Rachel had worn it!

thistlelicker · 05/11/2013 18:01

Ohhhhh I'm not surprised they hide prices Grin

FrankelInFoal · 05/11/2013 18:05

I think they used to put the prices (and measurements) up, I seem to remember the ballroom dresses being around the £400 mark, though the more blingy were more expensive.
