looks interesting - hope that it is an attempt to reduce stigma/raise awareness as opposed to possibly being a tv 'show' that people can mock and take the piss out of.

Kerstina, I don't think the daughter was necessarily embarrassed by her father, (although teens are always embarrassed by their parents!) - I think she was worried for his safety and wanted things at home to be normal and predictable. I lived with an alcoholic father as a child, and it was so difficult living on a knife-edge, not knowing what was going to happen next, what calamity you were going to come home to, what state he would be in, etc, etc. I felt so sorry for her.

Yes I agree with that if they lack the self awareness to acknowledge how hard it has been for the spouse even when better.
The case interested me as he must have had a lot of pressure in his life as he was a creative directer of an I.T firm supporting four kids and the life they had become accustomed too. Also made me think different ages suit different people. He was obviously finding midlife hard some people in comparison find being young hard and find they are far more happier being middle aged. Sorry am rambling now would just like to have known more about him and what caused his depression. They did mention he was abandoned by his parents at a young age :-(

Anyone watching tonights?

Watching latest on catch up. Very sad Lorraine couldn't remember her husband and he said he'd never leave her.

It was heartrending to see the distress on Lorraine's face, and the deep sadness within her, and to hear her saying "I'm not me" was awful. Although ECT sounds so aggressive it does seem to have helped her, I hope she can find herself and some peace again, for her sake for her husband. I thought George was great, and his helper when they were crossing the road too.

It never ceases to amaze me at how complicated the brain is - I remember the doctor saying after my mum had her stroke that they knew so very little about how the brain works, and why some people recover and others don't from similar episodes.
