Judges were not keen on Ashley's dance.

Hearts, the used to do something similar. Each week the celeb would dance either a ballroom or a Latin. Half would dance a waltz and half would dance a paso. The following week you would get a Latin if you'd had ballroom the previous week and vice versa. It did mean that you judged like against like. They changed it a while back. I also hate the dance off. Judges have had their say

Hearts In earlier series they did only 2 dances (I seem to remember - may be wrong) and the viewers learned a lot about the dances/steps.

Not sure how they now decide who dances what, I think it's all a bit hopscotch, I really enjoyed the "What's important in a Foxtrot/Tango" element.

Thanks dazzling! I think this way the TV audience gets a bit more variety, but I would actually see 6 different versions of the same thing personally - be able to compare and contrast and learn a bit. But we are really enjoying the show tonight!
