who do we think will be the early favourites? Who will get to the grand finale? Who will turn most orange?

Anya is Pasha's partner on the pro comp circuit.

Kevin is engaged to Karen Hauer, so they'll probably dance together too.

Doesn't look like it. He's had four competitive parters, but none of them are her.

Perhaps he met her when they did Burn the Floor? He to her at the end of one of the shows.

Have only just caught up.

I wish it was back properly next week. I have to watch X factor when strictly isn't on and it makes me want to poke my own eyes out.

Bruce was painful too watch, his scripted jokes are woeful a s he just can't do the autocue. Apparently he's brilliant when he does the off the cuff warm up with the audience before they start filming.

My annual Artem crush is in full swing, though I could be tempted to stray with the new fit pro.

stroke you're so right re Bruce, that documentary on him a few years back was amazing, he does so much to try to keep fit & healthy & he's a legend.. my grandpa is almost 80 & can't walk for long now or get up from sitting easily etc, Bruce is amazing for what he does. I like him a lot & would never be spiteful about him..my issue is simply that I squirm watching him & I do not enjoy that feeling Grin

Anton is definitely partnering Iveta in ballroom.

maryz I thought rugby dude looked like he had rhythm in the group dance..time will tell! But yes male lineup definitely disappointing, I think the producers are after a female winner this year after 2 male ones in a row.

Maybe later in the season Anton might do some pro dances with Natalie, if her foot recovers in time - she's a ballroom specialist.

Oh you're right select, Natalie has said she could be back in a few weeks, that would be lovely. Although she danced with Brendan the last couple of seasons I think.

The Pros usually start their rehearsals in early August because they ave to get as many of the group dances choreographed as possible before they start rehearsing with their celebs. In which case Aliona has a heck of a lot of catching up to do, unless as others have said, Natalie will come back for some of the later ones. Do we know what her injury is?

i like the new pro kevin ... looks really sweet. i dont like the pro thats partnered with julian after she referred to herself as sexy. no. pretty much all the other pros are more sexy than her. such arrogance she should be ok with julian!!

Sophie Ellis Bextor looked gangly rather than elegant. And she already came across as being completely up herself in that one episode.
And poor Mark Benton didn't get to say anything at all to Bruce/Tess cos they'd run out of time. I love him - I hope he's not the one they make a joke of.

Managed to find a repeat showing on You Tube of the group dance that I couldn't see as TV is on the blink.
But much chopping and changing with camera angles.
Vanessa, oh dear, can hear Craig saying" when you dance your feet must come together, yours were in second position all the time, darling".

Corrie girl has definitely had stage dance training, knows how to present herself to an audience and has talent. Judges will love her.
New kevin is cute and sweet, but the other new man is so dynamic.

Didn't get a good look at any other celebs.

JumpingJackSprat - give Janette a chance until the series gets going. The 'Sexy Latino Baby' stuff is America Speak... (Blow your own trumpet vs still upper lip). I saw her on US SYTYCD, before her Burn the Floor days. She was a feisty little firecracker sweetheart then.

I've seen Anja, Janette & Iveta complete on US version of So You Think You Can Dance (along with Pasha, Artem & Karen..). I love them all, particularly Anja! Am really looking forward to the new season!

You have to admit though, putting her intro on after Iveta's was, perhaps, not the best way to show her off.

After "I'm a two times world ten dance champion", "I've danced in Glee!" doesn't really sound very impressive...

Artem for me ....

I couldn't believe how ghastly Tess's outfit was. The wardrobe people do so well for most of the dancers, why not for her? She's got the figure, she used to be a model, it can't be that hard to dress her. She looked really good in the RT too.

I agree with others upthread about Brucie - yes, he's wonderful for his age, blah blah - but now he's just embarrassing. Thank goodness for ff.

How stupid to have an intro programme weeks before it actually starts. I can't see the sense I. That other than giving them more time to practise. I don't care if they need more time, it should be on now or not start until its ready to go out, grrrrr
