Is anybody else finding the scenes with Mac and Holly shudderingly cringey? Are they meant to be like that?

I just hate Holly... grrr. And they are a bit bizarre, with the tin cans...???

To me it seems to be mostly Holly being cringeworthy - she's so obviously trying to make them into a family (whether he likes it or not), and he's just feeling helpless and trapped?

Weeeell, I couldn't ask without a total loss of dignity, but I am seeing her soon and so will obv try to find out if he was a good shag or not.
