I don't find him amusing in the slightest. I cannot stomache the sight of him. He gets paid lots of money for being a complete moron.

OP posts:

I think he is meant to be funny, rather than just vile. But he isn't funny IMO, just stupid and vile, especially to women. Being crude to women is now deemed to be perfectly acceptable in these shows and Holly W and Fearne C went along with it? (more talentless morons, jeez).

"Smash her back door in", you have got to be kidding - that is said on TV and amongst young men? If anyone ever said that in my presence, they would think very hard about saying it again (assuming they had any teeth left).

Sparklingbrook · 01/12/2012 14:46

Don't anyone watch The Inbetweeners then if you are easily offended.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 01/12/2012 15:01

My 12 yo said "smash her back doors in" the other week. It is really pervasive shit...it will be in the Oxford dictionary before we know it

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 01/12/2012 15:04

I don't mind the Imbetweeners as much, because the protagonists are constantly operated as the immature tickets they are

Keith Lemon is just snide, nasty and old enough to know better

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 01/12/2012 15:05

I meant portrayed

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 01/12/2012 15:06

And fuckwits, not tickets

This bloody MN app

janelikesjam · 01/12/2012 15:13

AFForAMincePie - the level of hatred and contempt of women in this expression is actually honestly shocking. I think I would cry if my DD mentioned that expression to me. If I ever overheard my son saying that or laughing at that, he would never forget my reaction.

janelikesjam · 01/12/2012 15:14

p.s. As a middle-aged adult I have only heard that expression in the last 6 months somewhere (probably on MN mind Hmm).

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 01/12/2012 15:17

Jane, my reaction is something that day will never forget, rest assured

The thing is though, was simply parroting something he heard at school...he didn't really understand what he was sayinh

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 01/12/2012 15:17

Ds, fgs

singingmum · 01/12/2012 15:23

Hate hate hate this character and any mind that can imagine it. How utterly vile and annoying.
I truly cannot stand him and I only saw adverts(didn't know who it was at first) but it was more than enough for me to loathe. YUCK!!!!!

SecretNutellaFix · 01/12/2012 15:24

cannot be doing with him.

AppleOgies · 01/12/2012 15:33

You are not alone... He makes my skin crawl!

LaCiccolina · 01/12/2012 15:35

He's (the person that plays him, I do realise he's not real!) the next jimmy Saville as far as I can tell. Makes my neck hair stand up. Far too rubby knees and phwoar for me. Gives me shivers....

SDTGisAChristmassyWolefGenius · 01/12/2012 16:30

He makes my skin crawl too - I cannot comprehend how anyone finds him funny. Thank heaven I am not alone.

SecretNutellaFix · 01/12/2012 16:37

Same as I cannot stand Reeves and Mortimer.

bamboostalks · 01/12/2012 16:37

Foul sexist crap. Saw him in cafe in park in Grovelands Park and he was obnoxious to woman serving him.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 01/12/2012 16:39

I can't stand him either, makes my flesh crawl.

DyeInTheEar · 01/12/2012 20:51

I like Inbetweeners - the series though not so much the film.

Keith Lemon does not make me laugh - at all, ever. Got nothing to do with being offended, a prude, not getting the joke etc. Just not funny or clever.

WhatTheFookIsGangnamStyle · 02/12/2012 15:39

Ugh, I can't stand him either. He is a vulgar little man.

hiviolet · 02/12/2012 18:53

You know he isn't real, right? It's an act, like Al Murray's Pub Landlord isn't real Grin

Although, like the Pub Landlord, I expect the irony is lost on Keith Lemon's biggest fans because they're a bit thick

edam · 02/12/2012 18:58

Can't stand him. Just do Not Get It At All and find the misogyny so wearing. Yadda yadda yadda it's been done before for more than 1,000 years and no, it's not clever and ironic, the people laughing think it's straight-up funny - at least half of them are missing the 'irony'. Comedians in the UK wouldn't dare to tell racist jokes claiming they are 'ironic' so why is it OK to tell sexist jokes?

(NB dh and I used to write comedy, never found the need to be sexist or racist or disablist - and some of the people we worked with have gone on to really great things without being any of those, either. Bill Bailey, for one.)

Jellykat · 02/12/2012 19:21

He just gives me the creeps.
I can't see anything amusing in anything he's ever done or said.

FellowshipOfFestiveFellows · 02/12/2012 19:38

No I get the idea but not a fan of chav male human. Keith Lemon is like what would happen if Jeremy Kyle did comedy.
I didn't get Bo Selecta either.
Much prefer Jack Whitehall and Russell Howard

LightHousekeeping · 02/12/2012 19:46

Oh, I loved Bo Selecta! Can't stand Keith Lemmon though. Surely it's an age thing?

Please don't forget it is only an act I know for a fact that Leigh is a caring, charming family man.
