Ha ha, this is the first time I've watched it, hilarious! The programme makers have their tongues in their cheeks, I liked the digs at Anthea. Very amusing and although I doubt I'll watch it again it IS bizarrely fascinating, ikwym Caligula.

God I love this prog. DS2 (12) was PHSL at the towel chicken. at the present 'from the hangover fairy' and the little basket of things you might have forgotten to pack (were there tampons and condoms in there too, do you think ?).

Was glad the sgl mum won it last night, she was the one who was really up against it, trying to refurb her house and look after the kids on her own, as well as taking on Anthea's regime.

The other woman was just a lazy pig. ROFL at her getting her mates to help her take the bin bags out in their smart coffee morning on the telly clothes and then having the cheek to charge them for coming Grin.

It p*sses me off when the DH's are interviewed at the end saying what a dirty pig their wives were and how hovel-like their houses before Anthea came on the scene - FFS you are just as capable of cleaning up as she is, you lazy arseburger. It's just as much his responsibilty to do a bit of housework as it is hers (especially when both parties work).

Think it's the last in this series next weekSad. What will we doShockGrin. Might actually have to do some cleaning rather than just watching other people do it on telly.

God, yes, quite NDP, where tf were the MEN in this? As if it was just up to women to clean, bah! I enjoyed bristling at various points during the programme. Was she a single mum? I didn't get that bit.

You can just imagine the pitch for this can't you? "It's a cross between Wife Swap (manuals ffs) and You are What You Eat (Anthea as Gillian McCharlatan as Edam calls her) and How Clean Is your Housewife and Desperate Housewives (Cath Kidston aprons) and Blue Peter (tips with old washing up liquid bottles + Anthea)" It's like an amalgamation of every crappy but strangely compelling public shaming tv prog you've ever seen isn't it? I watched some old You Are What You Eat last night followed by anthea and felt all peculiar after that lot!

I'm pretty sure that they said Louise was on her own with the 2 kids and there was no bloke/partner/husband at the final prize-giving thing at the end.

BTW - Did anyone else notice that grotesque glass birdcage light fitting thing in the 'posh' room they did the prize thing in ? Really tacky.

"Louise is a stay-at-home mum from Nottinghamshire. She has two children, Lauren and Alex. She wants to turn her house into a home but it’s currently cluttered with children’s toys. Will she ever be able to get on top of it and turn things around?" That's lifted from BBCThree's mini site, maybe there was a partner somewhere but we never saw him or heard him mentioned....

I know what you mean, Piff. We're moving house in their next month or so and so I'm on the look out for unusual (ie not the bog standard Next matching bedset and curtains), non-babyish furnishings for 3.5yr old DD's room. She'll have a really unusual shaped/sized windows in her room so I get the feeling I'll have to cobble the curtains together myself... (oh god)

Fantastic show last night.

Guff piled upon guff upon guff.

I loved the towel creatures - who wouldn't like to find their towel folded like a dead turtle on the guest bed ? (Reminded me of the mn convo yesterday about poo, when someone used the term "the turtle's head is showing!)

Will be doing the paint water pot thing - that was genuninely brill.

Followed this with Footy Wives - talk about a night of telly porn!
