Ha ha, this is the first time I've watched it, hilarious! The programme makers have their tongues in their cheeks, I liked the digs at Anthea. Very amusing and although I doubt I'll watch it again it IS bizarrely fascinating, ikwym Caligula.

I want a manuel too, they will bring one out surely.

did you see her use dental floss on her cheese? we reckon it's cos noone is allowed knives or cheese wire around her in case the urge gets too strong.

Freshstart - so do I!!! Why doesn't she bring out a book, everyone else seems to. It's not Anthea I like, but that woman does know how to organise.

Think you might have to go on the next series to get one, FreshStart - they were asking for volunteers at the end of the programmeGrin.

Report
freshstart · 31/03/2006 10:05

sad as this may sound but i REALLY REALLY want one of the manuals

do you think they would send me one?

expat does she really have staff? That's cheating, I got the impression from the programme that she does everything herself!
Has it been mentioned on the programme about the staff?

Anthea has staff and NO kids living full-time in her house - apparently her step children live primarily w/their mum.

That says it all.

She has loads of time for throwing wine and cheese parties and shopping for yet another f*&king sarape/wrap thingy.

rickman · 30/03/2006 21:02

I can't believe that Anthea pinched my tip on photographing all your kids artwork and then sticking it in the bin. I've posted that several times on here, she must be a mumsnetter.

Wow - I am going to practice folding fitted sheets this afternoon. I was just about to throw them out cos they are too bulky in my cupboard!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 27/03/2006 11:59

never seen the programme, but just looked at those clips - WTF?!

If i want my house to be sparkling, my kids will suffer - NOT A CHANCE!

Oh complete happiness. Whenever my house is a mess I'll just click on one of those icons and the blessed Anthea will give me the motivation to clean it.

She has got to be taking hte piss hasn't she?

not Anthea, but her (even spookier) US counterpart Martha:
\link{http://www.marthastewart.com/page.jhtml?type=content&id=channel172128&contentGroup=MSL&site=living\How to fold a fitted sheet}

Disturbingly DH has known this for years and gave me the 'Well, duh' look when I mentioned it.

i loved her phrase in the lst one 'in their entire washing and drying lives these women have wasted so much time'

i never count washing and drying as 'living'..

reddevil · 27/03/2006 11:11

How? How? How do you fold a fitted sheet?
I am a tragic human being I know! Blush
