goosey - thought you were joking too

No - I lost all sympathy for her when they kept harping on about "vibes". I mean, the amounts are in the boxes & no amount of "thinking" is going to move them! It's one thing hoping for luck in choosing a box, but once chosen that's it. I actually cheered when the last 2 big amounts went.

red37 · 20/03/2006 20:06

tbh i would of took the £8500, but i think greed got the best of her and she was hoping for one of the biggies

OP posts:
jmum6 · 20/03/2006 20:34

missed it today. I'm guessing by the posts she didn't go away with much then

threelittlebabies · 20/03/2006 22:45

She was definitely greedy imo, and my dh has just called me sad for writing this!

Piggiesmum · 20/03/2006 22:56

Have to admit for the first time I laughed when someone walked away with virtually zero after being offered thousands. People just get too greedy.

Furball · 21/03/2006 08:55

I think her husband also swayed her into staying in. He had huge £ signs in his eyes.

hunkermunker · 21/03/2006 08:56

Greed is v unattractive, isn't it? She deserved what she got yesterday imo.

GDG · 21/03/2006 11:57

Agree it's greedy - at the same time, how many other opportunities do you ahve to win a large sum of money that could make a huge difference to your life and that of your family. She could have had £75K in that box. I can see both pov.

hunkermunker · 21/03/2006 15:19

I guess so, but the odds were against her, I think. I'd rather have a definite £9k than worry about the £75k I'd missed out on.

hana · 21/03/2006 15:20

god
awful stuff
hate hate hate
up there with channel 4's the games yick yick yick

Racers · 21/03/2006 15:24

Love it, as long as we can hit the fast forward button! Hate the 'give me vibes' guff though, especially when they've already picked the bleedin' box!

Has anyone outside the UK won the top amount?

red37 · 21/03/2006 19:49

OK so i'm blaming it just a little on hormones, but... Am i the only one who cried at Deal or No Deal tonight? Blush
Lovely Claire from Liverpool said no deal to £20K and eventually went home with £1,500 Sad

justmummy · 28/04/2006 21:44

Here's a link where you can have a go at playing at home - \link{http://www.dilan4.freeserve.co.uk/maths/dond.swf\deal or no deal}
Unfortunately you don't really win anything.

amber5 · 03/05/2006 22:14

so now i'm blaming bf-ing and yes i'm quite aware this is now just my personal diary...
did anyone see Pat's game today? wonderfully barmy old dot who turned down £17,500 and took home the grand sum of...

£1,000

HunKeRMunKeR · 03/05/2006 22:19

Saw the end of it - was sorry she only got £1k.

DS1 LOVES this programme. It has everything a 2.1yo could want - numbers, colours (much glee and shouting of said colour when "red" or "blue" is revealed), clapping, boxes... He says "Deal! Deal!" excitedly when he hears the music! Still, beats having to watch Noddy while I'm feeding DS2!

amber5 · 03/05/2006 22:25

i have been trying to get dd into a routine with her bf-ing (she's 3 months). i guess i must have been doing a regular 4.15 feed - it fits in just before going to get ds from nursery. so we were playing with the tv in the background this afternoon and when the music for deal or no deal came on, she started sucking her hand and turning to me!!
how very sadBlush

StinkyPete · 12/07/2006 22:08

has anyone noticed what appears to be a tattoo under noel's hand - visible when he holds the phone to his ear. can anyone make out what it's of? it's driving me nuts!!

Harold · 12/07/2006 22:09

I love it now I understand it , it took a while but now it's fab! I have noticed the biro tattoo and it's intriguing me also.

puddingz · 12/07/2006 23:24

It's something to do with cosmic ordering . (don't ask me!). Here's a treat for the hard core DOND fans here
