sanchpanch · 18/03/2006 21:20

cod · 18/03/2006 21:21

grrr
wil you lot tell emwhat it is

hunkermunker · 18/03/2006 21:22

Apparently Noel said he'd only come back to TV for something "really big".

They offered him emptying the bins at Television Centre or this. This won by a gnats cock.

cod · 18/03/2006 21:22

he hs not changed his harido in 30 years
thst odd

hunkermunker · 18/03/2006 21:25

20-odd people (odd being the operative word) stand round with boxes each of which contains a randomly-allocated amount of money (written in the lid) between 1p and £250,000.

One of them is chosen and brings their box to the front.

They call out numbers of boxes, the lids are lifted and the money amounts that are revealed get taken out of the game.

After each round (after is it three or five or it varies or somesuch nonsense) the phone rings, Noel Edmonds giggles into it and the banker on the other end offers an amount of cash for the player to either deal or no deal.

hunkermunker · 18/03/2006 21:25

I always think "bouffant" whenever I see him.

Boofy boofhead.

JoolsToo · 18/03/2006 21:25

22 boxes - 22 values of money - no questions

basically open the boxes and try and keep high values - after every 3 boxes the banker offers you an amount to go. Some have won 1p some have won 50k

there - now I've confirmed it for you, I'm an anorak!

JoolsToo · 18/03/2006 21:26

but not as bigger one as hunker apparently! Grin

We have this show in Spain but it lasts about 3 hours!

GDG · 18/03/2006 22:33

Jim was an annoying old codger today. Oh how we laughed when he swapped boxes and landed a measly £500!!!!

goosey · 18/03/2006 22:37

Hate it.
Pure gambling dressed up as a 'game' show.
Dangerous stuff for child viewers.

Mytwopenceworth · 18/03/2006 22:38

oh YES tonights guy was such a tosspot! Didnt he show himself up?! i was praying to all the gods of heaven for him to go away with 1p!

Still, at least he only got £500.

Again, what a tosser!

threelittlebabies · 18/03/2006 22:41

What was in the other box? Why was he annoying? And what's wrong with me???! (don't answer last one)

GDG did you see my message for you on Altrincham baby show thread?

twokids · 18/03/2006 22:59

red37 · 19/03/2006 07:56

Lucy is a friend of my Uncle's daughter, apparently her show is being shown on the 30th March. It seems they film 3 shows a day.

cod · 19/03/2006 12:14

hunker lol at boofy boofhead
the premise of the game soudns odd

that take a whole 30 minutes?
who does noel giigle to

WideWebWitch · 19/03/2006 12:20

Ex ML watched this when she came to stay with us recently, I thought it was a dreadful programme, pile of cack,.

JoolsToo · 19/03/2006 15:17

'not as bigger one' ???? Blush

oh the shame!

GDG · 19/03/2006 15:28

'Dangerous stuff for child viewers' - pmsl - you're joking right?!!!

flutterbee · 19/03/2006 15:44

I love it, have been addicted to it since the bloody thing began (yes the very first show) as are my brothers and dh. I can't believe how long it's been going on for (since before ds was born and hes 4 months now) surely there must be a break between series.

If they really do shoot three episodes a day they must get 3 different audiences a day.

I have to say I am soooo glad that he went home with £500 last night he was a real idiot.

goosey · 19/03/2006 17:01

Wrong.
I think it is damaging to children to see adults gambling on TV in this way.
