Is anyone else following the US election and finding themselves comparing everything to TWW?!

I found this on the BBC website and was impressed to realise I knew what most of them were, thanks to TWW!

I was watching "Constituency of One" the other night. Not sure I found Amy's leaving believable. Surely she could do more for women's and family issues as FLOTUS's CoS? Esp as Abby was so popular. Aside from that, Abby was still away with Zoe and needed Amy to "hold the fort". Don't think she would abandon the position like that.

Did anyone else read that Sorkin wanted M-L Parker to be in TWW more? I know her husband left her for Clare Danes when she (M-LP) was pg.

The opening scene with Josh and the voters is one of my favourites.

I love the flashback scene to CJ practising in the Press Room and reeling off the reporter names

TWW is very educational, isn't it? Without it I'd have assumed the Al Smith Dinner was a fund-raising event hosted by a comedian

Are you watching Homeland? I was wondering on the thread if you can get a mobile signal in the Sit Room as a character in Homeland did. In TWW you can't get a signal in the Roosevelt Room - unless you're a Chinese official.

I've not watched Homeland. Perhaps they've updated the cellular network around the White House - TWW gang were all pretty reliant on their pagers [hgrin]

I was at the cinema watching Skyfall last night - it's fantastic! I'm going to catch up on SCD on iplayer shortly.

I think an election night thread is a fabulous idea, but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep myself awake long enough for the exit polls

Haven't been to the cinema in ages but there is cinema not too far away which shows films in English.

Till I figure out how/with whom/when, I'll console myself with my new Bond Girl name.

Tuesdays are my lightest day at work. I am dreading a Romney win. I wonder what impact Sandy will have on the last few days. My DB lives near DC and they have some atrocious storms/snowfall/powercuts.

I'm definitely up for an election night thread. Must admit to having stayed up all night for every election the last 600 few years. Good thing I was on ML when the Supreme Court ruled for Bush.

We need to rally the US MNers so we can track weather patterns and exit polls.

WTAF can't the US elections be in Half Term??? Will do my best to communicate with good-hearted but slightly unhinged DB on election night.

After half term I won't be working Tuesdays :o. Yay! I am so up for a WW-themed election night as long as Santos wins. I might have to be Bruno Gianelli for the night.
