What's with all the flashbacks?

I promised myself after the tedium of the last series that I wouldn't watch it anymore but I hear Peyton and whatshisface would be coming back

Oh Im watching! I looked for a thread yesterday and couldn't find one

I really didn't get the flashbacks/flash forwards thing either and wondered if I'd missed a few episodes. I also half thought I wouldn't watch again but I'm hooked after just one episode I love Haley. I think I want to be her. I like how she isnt skinny like Brooke and Alex and that she is beautiful.

I know it's self indulgent guff, but I would give my left arm to be married to Nathan Scott he's so tall and protective and in love with his wife and fucking hot

What? I watched it from the very first episode until I think the first of season 9 on e4 every day and then it just stopped - which channel is it on?

E4 Monday 9pm, but it'll be on 4OD, it was the first episode this week.

The actor that plays Haley was pg in RL in the last series hence the change of shape. Much better acting than Brooke's 'I've just had twins' flat stomach.

What was with Alex's Ronseal look

I presume the flashbacks are more hints of what's to come in the series?

Yes, Brooke is lovely but I do find her a little unrealistic/irritating. I love Haley. And Nathan.

Was it Julian being beaten up in the flashes? Do you think maybe it was by a loan shark that he went to in order to fund his sound stage or whatever it is? And do you think dan is really changed for good?

And did I mention I love Haley and Nathan

I love Haley in a girl crush kind of way.

I want to be Haley and have Nathan be all up in love with me. I do not want to be hale if that is Nathans body she was uncovering in the first episode.

I could sort of see it coming from the beginning of the episode but ohh nooooooooo!

I wasn't paying attention and so didn't see it coming - poor Brooke, and poor, poor Julian :(

I don't think he would do that. I think he is ingratiating himself on (to/in/for???) Hayley and Jamie to the point where he will lull them all into a false sense of security and then BAM.

Do we think Brooke's dad hires someone to kick seven bells out of Julian? Those flashes at the beginning all make sense now...

It was the way he sneered about only leaving when Nathan came back.

Perhaps Julian gets caught up with Clay's improbable plot twist dealer? Or Chriskeller's mad girlfriend?

I'm a bit that Julian is suddenly a drug addict. Or is he? I get confused by flash forwards. Does Nathan die? I hope not as it's a bit "kill of main characters at the end a la Dawson's Creek"!

I am a bit confused. Hopefully Nathan and Haley live happily ever after.

I think the body might be Dan's and Haley has grown to forgive him.
