Is it just me or does this programme get your into a hypnotic state. I find it so fasinating even though ive been there, done that. I spose you dont get to view it when you are going through labour yourself. Does anyone else love this programme.

I keep holding my breath when she pushes too :)

emmanana · 25/01/2012 21:50

I have now been crying for best part of an hour. I love Trishas positive attitude, and the midwives have a gorgeous bedside manner.

MamaMaiasaura · 25/01/2012 21:50

Carmel - its very hard (had to with ds2) not feeling the urge and been told when was odd tho I did feel it a little

Trisha and Steven are amazing.

When DS2 was born he came flying out like that straight after my waters!

bringmesunshine2009 · 25/01/2012 21:51

Pushed both mine out with epidural (I admit the second one wore off and urge to push was primal) both in 15 mins

Shakey1500 · 25/01/2012 21:51

I think the "sorry it's girl" was aid to her son. Probably post super fast labour language in a way she thought her son would understand. Not the best choice of words, granted, just reactionary. I quite liked the couple and agree it was banter between them during the labour, he was making her laugh.

And blimey riley! "I'll just get another midwife...oh."

darleneconnor · 25/01/2012 21:51

It must be hard to have a baby you really didn't want.

missmiss · 25/01/2012 21:52

I haven't even had a baby and I've been pushing along with Trish. Really hope she doesn't have to have a c-section.

madaboutmadmen · 25/01/2012 21:52

saggy, they have a boy and a healthy new baby!

MamaMaiasaura · 25/01/2012 21:52

Never realised how harder it was till I has dd and no pain relief bar a few puff of gas and air as so darn fast. Much better albeit painful experience

CaveMum · 25/01/2012 21:52

I felt that "greased weasel" is far too underused a phrase Grin, glad I had the opportunity to use it!

piratecat · 25/01/2012 21:53

i had no pain relief but also never felt the urge to push.

Angry at 'im sorry its a girl!' she should be bloody grateful for a beautiful healthy baby...many dont get that experience. if i am ever lucky enough to get another baby i will be happy to welcome it regardless of gender! sorryBlush

CamelKnees · 25/01/2012 21:53

Ooh good to know recall and stitching! Just couldn't imagine how you would ever begin to get enough "ooooomph" in it without your body forcing you too IYSWIM (Soz if make v little sense. Sleep deprived and drugged up to eyeballs on lemsip)

Wallace · 25/01/2012 21:54

I'm knackered from all that pushing!

water birth was like my last two births. pop and out!

scarletforya · 25/01/2012 21:54

oooh! Please let it be ok....

ggirl · 25/01/2012 21:54

oh oh serious music

ReshapeWhileDamp · 25/01/2012 21:54

Saggy, it's a huge taboo to even admit to gender disappointment. Hmm I'm quite, quite sure that Isabella's parents will be in as much love with her as with their other children.

piratecat · 25/01/2012 21:54

those put your feet on pressy things look good.

darleneconnor · 25/01/2012 21:55
