Missed it again last night, and tried to get it on iPlayer this afternoon, but problems with our pipes meant Dyno-Rod running about and popping in and out and so I've not really actually watched it, only vaguely seen it with constant disturbance.
DD has asked if we can go to the next Austen festival, to which I replied she'll have to read at least one of her books (I recommended Persuasion).
However, I shall gird my loins in prep for the next one, hope that the little pretend-computer thing I use on the sofa can cope with the speed of thread movement, and (fingers massively crossed) see you all then!
From what I have seen, I think the new style is ridiculous. What's the point of the team challenges? Have they done that every time? So how do they tell who is a damn good cook who can follow orders/a recipe and who actually has a talent? How can you say "your custard didn't set" and make someone really responsible? Or this or that got burnt because you messed up?
I suppose they're experimenting to see if they can make a cooking show which doesn't really show you how to cook anything can be made more interesting because, like that Mr Cowell, they don't want to shoot the cash cow.
