Loving it; all you who posted in November 02 on Property Ladder, who bitched and carped and believed everything you saw and heard! And a mum friend of mine saw your comments. Don't you know everything on that programme is staged and changed? Don't you know everything is done to keep the expert looking like the expert, a woman who inherited her properties and has never done up a house in her life!! Well, who's laughing now, eh??!! The blonde who knew she'd sell to a gay couple and did, who knew the roof wouldn't come up on survey and saved herself £2000, who didn't 'rip out' any fireplaces as all except one were 1960's gas fires, the one who only paid £2500 for the Intoto kitchen, but Property Ladder wouldn't show the discount, the one who sold it for £190,000, and the one who admits the bathroom was crap!!! The skinny blonde with a portfolio of £2m because she DIDN'T listen to the experts. So ha ha ha he he he, you bunch of negative mums, get a life and get out there and have a go, instead of bitching over your keyboards.
Oh and 'Tinker', men are such pitiful fools, 'ruined his life', what a pile of tosh

would it help you feel any better if I told you that I for one couldn't give a rats backside

zippitippitoes · 02/11/2005 10:26

Twiglet you haven't got the hang of this..if you want to show disdain you mustn't post

piffle · 02/11/2005 10:30

I must admit to never seeing the original show as had just had dd and could not even see to push an on button at that time.
I thought she was quite cool last night actually, not keen on the glass (prefer fireplaces ya know) but it looks like she's done bloody well. Fair play and all credit - she's got balls

I thought I read an interview once with SB that said she had problems with pregnancies and going to term, and was desperate for a child.

So if she is pregnant then good for her.

NomDePlume · 02/11/2005 12:13

She is oreg with her 2nd child. I think it's a girl.

SecondhandRose · 02/11/2005 13:29

miasi, the reason people have been so rude to you on here is because of your posting on 1st Nov at 9.33am. What did you expect?

'bunch of negative mums, get a life'

One word of advice for Mumsnet users - be nice.

By the way, congratulations on your property portfolio but beware of the tax man!

aloha · 02/11/2005 13:31

Eve, I think that is the other property woman - Naomi Cleaver, who has Hughes Syndrome (sticky blood)

littlerach · 02/11/2005 13:37

Meggymoo, it was a magazine called Rooms Rooms Rooms, back n the summer.

Natalie Milton was the sister featured, and her living room was the room.

She is described as being Jewellery and cushion designer, plus PA to richard Curtis.

There was also a note on the end of the article to give details of the house being available for location work, and their email address.

i am sure that she was in another article too, her house really stays with you, very OTT, but some amazing detail.

aloha · 02/11/2005 13:59

Lots of stepmothers on here. YOu could always stick around - people here are property mad
I have to say, you came across really badly in the first programme, but I thought you seemed a lot nicer and more straightforward in the follow-up. Do you agree? Which is more you?

aloha · 02/11/2005 14:00

Re tax... um, I get the feeling she is pretty organised about most things!

littlemissbossy · 02/11/2005 14:16

Couldn't wait to get home from work to have a look at this thread. Sian, thought you came over much better 2nd time around - and good luck to you for doing so well - personally, I don't think SB gets it right everytime and I didn't like her comment about only making £11K - £11K's ok for a first development - and I speak from experience However I hope the blue tiles you're about to lay aren't as hideous as the first lot
PS most people on mumsnet do have a life although you're correct in that we are all bitches LOL

puff · 02/11/2005 14:38

littlemissbossy - I agree with ya last sentence

katierocket · 02/11/2005 17:17

this is in the the manchester evening news today with a headline about "sian beat the expert and made a killing" or something here

and in 2002 here

Lucycat · 02/11/2005 18:02

oooh I was just going to post that too kr! Her property company is simia properties which explains the mn name!

ToshyTinker · 02/11/2005 19:04

She's right that you can't go wrong in Didsbury though

Lucycat · 02/11/2005 19:59

Surely the market is even bottoming out in Didsbury! areas like Chorlton are really popular and we live about 1/2 mile from Didsbury and the house prices here are starting to rocket with the 'Didsbury' influence!
