shedragon · 25/01/2011 22:02

Only showing headshots or back shots, same clothes for full episode...

Raahh · 25/01/2011 22:03

Emilia Fox had a baby quite recently, I think.

QueenOfTheNight · 25/01/2011 22:03

She probably was pregnant then. She now has a 2 or 3 month old daughter.

Raahh · 25/01/2011 22:04

Baby girl, in November, called Rose (cheers wiki)!

diddl · 25/01/2011 22:06

She had a baby in November(?)

shedragon · 25/01/2011 22:11

Ah. Thanks for info. Hope they're all well.

Hard to hide a pregnancy on telly.

Wasn't so keen on this story. (Didn't stop a sob tho).Wish they'd hang about their own lab. Suits them better.

TigersChick · 25/01/2011 22:13

Whilst I enjoyed these episodes, I think I agree with Raah - it's not really Silent Witness, is it!? I wonder what Sam Ryan would think! Grin

I was insanly happy that Harry didn't actually kill the bloke - tho the lorry was a wee bit implausible HmmGrin

Hopefully back to dimwitted policemen next week ...

shedragon · 25/01/2011 22:19

Yes! Was wondering how they'd get Harry to not kill. He couldn't possibly kill, soo out of character. Very implausible, the truck.

Agree, hopefully back to dimwitted policemen next week.

CDMforever · 25/01/2011 22:23

Bloody amazing episode. Well done Beeb, you do drama so well (apart from Enders, obviously).
I shrieked, I cried and the last bit with Maria's daughter.....feel like I've got PTSD. Must take to my bed now.
See you next week Harry darling.Wink

diddl · 25/01/2011 22:29

I thought it was awful.

Really tedious.

Raahh · 25/01/2011 22:35

Back to peeling the skin off skulls next week, I hope !

brightlightsandpromises · 25/01/2011 23:02

very disappointing

JumpOnIt · 25/01/2011 23:53

Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. Completely ridiculous, far fetched and overly dramatic. Normally a fan of SW and the lovely Harry. Was not a fan of that. Confused

FredKarnosCircus · 26/01/2011 07:10

Cried buckets

strandednomore · 26/01/2011 07:30

Don't have time to read the entire thread but if the gist of it that Silent Witness has become as ridiculos as Spooks then yes, it has,

I watched Spooks at the beginning. But once they started running around London solving the crimes I couldn't stand it anymore. As if! And now it's all happening again. Why can't script writers just stick to keeping the stories at least VAGUELY within the bounds of reality.

I thought last night's episode was total cock.

fruitstick · 26/01/2011 09:16

Am I the only one who, no matter how many times I tell myself, I still think Lucas and Harry are played by the same actor?

And I watch both series religiously Grin.

melikalikimaka · 26/01/2011 09:17

I was so shocked that they did that to a main character, have only just started to watch SW.Shock

Really got to like him, and now I am so scared of Russia. I don't think I would ever go there if you paid me a million pounds!

LadyThumb · 26/01/2011 09:40

melikalikimaka - you could always try Hungary then!

strandednomore · 26/01/2011 10:06

But it was completely obvious that Harry wasn't dead. Did anyone actually fall for that?

Abr1de · 26/01/2011 10:12

It was a rather odd two-parter. I didn't like all that fancy camera work. They seemed to be trying to remake Frantic, that Harrison Ford film set in Paris.

Abr1de · 26/01/2011 10:12

I wish Harry would get rid of that horrid beard. It makes his chin look all old-man-like.

NimpyWindowmash · 26/01/2011 10:40

strandednomore no, the gist of the thread was more like "oh no Harry can't die because we lurve him.., oh good Harry didn't die phew"

strandednomore · 26/01/2011 10:59

Oh sorry, I think I was confused by the subtitle in Discussions of the Day - Silent Witness: Turning into Spooks?

I have to say I would have been quite happy for them to get rid of Harry. He is quite irritating! And as for that dreadful woman he was having an affair with, thank god they killed her off so quickly.

Leo I like though.

marge2 · 26/01/2011 11:51

I used to love it, but it's just getting silly. As IF a bunch of pathologists would go to Hungary to solve a crime. ??

DarrellRivers · 26/01/2011 12:37

Similar to the South Africa episode
A chance for everyone to get a free holiday, but absolutely ridiculous storyline
[only watched Part 1, tonight part 2 nethertheless]
