Both families have lovely houses and chickens!

The DD's Dad didn't seem too into the girlie makeover Grin

Finding this really annoying - is it just families with one gender dc that are so fully of all the same old stereotypes?

How many 'girl-thing' 'boy-thing's can you fit into 15 minutes.

Can't find anything else to watch either!

carriedababi · 11/08/2010 21:16

lol, he did seem to be enjoying his makeoverGrin

both familes seem quite well orf lol

KEAWYED · 11/08/2010 21:16

Ive got ghost whisperer on and shall be watching it in an hour.
I'll check in to see if its worth it

squeaver · 11/08/2010 21:19

The girls' mum's going to be the villain of the piece, I think.

4andnotout · 11/08/2010 21:20

I have 4dd's and sil has 4 ds's we could have been famous!!

turnitup · 11/08/2010 21:20

The boys coming in and shoe flinging, thats so my boys, lol

Hmm, the same sex parents of the children seem thrilled to have 4 of their sex dont they, iykwim. That poor dad! Grin

DD is a serious girlie girl, so am on pins to find out what Ive got in store for me, did you see the amount of shoes the girls had.

Tis very stereotypical loler...

EightiesChick · 11/08/2010 21:21

Massive stereotyping so far! Love the chickens though. More of the chickens!

PacificDogwood · 11/08/2010 21:23

Massive stereotyping, that's true, but so very much like my RL with 4 boys Grin!!

They are still little, but I forsee a life with hundreds of stinky trainers for me rather soon...

LadyBlaBlah · 11/08/2010 21:25

Stereotypes exist for a reason Grin

loler · 11/08/2010 21:26

"boys mums do too much for them" - no love you do!!!!

Must tell dd to stop doing less play fighting and more make-up in the morning, must tell ds1 to stay out of the kitchen and tell ds2 to stop talking to me and to start grunting!

All 3 dc do shoe throwing - nongender specific activity in chez loler.

turnitup · 11/08/2010 21:31

I can relate to the boys mum, although only have 3 DS's.

I feel so sad that i'll never have a DD but at the same time so happy and grateful for the boys I have.

Does anyone want to swap with my Aunt? She has 8 boys.

To be honest this is nature vs nurture, my DD is very much the tomboy and would hate to e bought up in a house with all that girly stuff, and yes agree with the sterotyping. Boys mum though does wish she could have a girl I think.

JuneBugJr · 11/08/2010 21:35

All the girls in my family and all the boys fall into these stereotypes too.

PacificDogwood Sad about the trainers Grin. Am already getting nervous about teenage girls, I was a horror!

All the kids have such lovely names on this prog too. Am wondering how much these parents earn.

Aliarse · 11/08/2010 21:36

hmmm....I think I am being manipulated to feel sorry for the mum of boys (because she doesn't have a daughter) Hmm

PacificDogwood · 11/08/2010 21:36

Hm, nature vs nurture... I was always glad that DS1 and DS2 were both boys as their personalities are SO different that I am certain if they had been a boy and a girl everybody would have assumed No2 is calmer/more sociable because they were female. The way it is, it is just him Smile.

JuneBugJr · 11/08/2010 21:42

Think we're also being manipulated to feel sorry for the girls dad too.

PacificDogwood · 11/08/2010 21:45

... and to feel sorry for the boys' mum.

Wonder whether I am going to feel hard done by in years to come? Cannot imagine that I will, but who knows?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 11/08/2010 21:47

OK I want to scream now, DH wouldn't dream of not doing any of the cutting trees, making catapults with DD just because she is a girl.

carriedababi · 11/08/2010 21:48

oh that dad of boys is starting to seem like a bit of a nob.

PacificDogwood · 11/08/2010 21:49

I am a girl (well, an elderly one) and I have never had a dance lesson in my life. And never wanted one, either

squeaver · 11/08/2010 21:50

And, as if the girls' mother stands and watches all their dance lessons.

Wanderingsheep · 11/08/2010 21:52

I know! I had dance lessons growing up and I used to get dropped off and picked up! Never once did my mum stand and watch. Hmm I would have been mortified!
