This week I ordered a Graze Fruit box to be delivered to DD. She phoned today sooo thrilled with it. A mix of getting something unexpected (post-box envy goes on), & getting something different.

As it was

I sent one of my ex-pupils a little notebook and Emma Bridgewater pen when she started uni - less than a tenner for both but went down well.

Marmite! I love it but she hates it. She doesn't drink Tea (or coffee) - but Hot Choc sachets may be an idea?

Bookmarks also good fun (I did buy a funny card that made me laugh this week as it reminded me of her, so that will go soon). Things that won't cost too much to post are the best

If she likes spicy food then dried chillies in a spice mill is great for livening up food

When my brother was studying abroad, mum used to put together packets of things like underwear wrapped around English goodies, eg bars of Cadbury or Galaxy, flapjacks, teabags, etc.

My mum sent me one of my favourite yoghurts that I couldn't get in my local supermarket when I was a student, all packed in polystyrene - I was so touched. So any fave food that she either can't get or can't afford.

A friend's parents sent her a new pair of knickers every day during finals as she had "too much to be thinking of to do laundry".

I sent DD2 some silly shape post it notes and pen, She loved this and texted me to say how much she loved them. I've also sent her slipper socks and a small cuddly snowman ( she loves snowmen).
