hi. i love reading this board. i'm a youth worker and work with teens. its great for me to see the parents side of teen issues, and gives me a well rounded view of teen problems and isues...have enjoyed the "do you remember" thread, and it got me thinking....my 3 kiddies are still little, but i am getting glimpses into the future with my sometimes adorable, sometimes sulky 7 year old.....i just wondered...have your teens sort of retained the same personality traits as they used to have when they were small???

not one of mine have stayed the same. my ds1 stuck to my side cried first term of playgroup. was the only reception child still doing half days at christmas as he got so distressed at being left. he is now the most outgoing young man who oozes with confidence. he has done loads of tv and film work and lives life to the full.
my dd1 was so sociable and sweet a superb mixer bright bubbly and helpful......woah.. she argued throughout secondary school with so many other girls, she can be quite sullen now and as for helpful no chance!
my youngest ds2 was an outgoing terror.extremely bright and confident a real handful...he now a very deep lad, quite a worrier.he is at home with us a lot and no where near as confident as my other two despite being on the talented and gifted register.
quite a lot of changes.
however my eldest still twiddles his hair when tired and dd1 stll talk s in her sleep and my ds2 can still sleep through anything.

my eldest has humour and much anger - he did when he was a child

dd1 - was an angry baby and toddler - but DD2 mellowed into a beautiful hthoughtful wonderful fantastic teen. (so far)

dd3 was the runt of the litter ad still is. he was always 'strange' and he has goten 'stranger' he always was the most immature - and still is.

the boyswere neer good at school - they never got better

ds1 always had a toy tool box - he is now a builder.
ds2 always wanted to be like ds1 and followed him with the tools - i dont know what he ih going to do.

dd was good at school - she is now distincly average as studdies take a poor second to her school social life. she knows she will probably have to do resits but is planning on going to uni. lets hope she get there.
