Would you allow your DD to take time off school for period pains?

DD is 13 and currently sitting in the bath; she's supposed to be getting ready for school.

She had a day off (so 2 days off) for each period she has already had since going back.

I do provide her with pain relief, etc. and tell her if they get really bad, I can come and pick her up.

She's demanding she just can't get out the bath yet, so idk what to do. I don't think I can let her have another day off, can I?

Thanks

Take her to the doctors but be prepared to be fobbed off like I was and fight for her to be tested.

My periods were awful from a very young age but I was told it's just a fact of life and I will have to get used to it. I now know that these were not normal periods.

I suffered for years and it was only when I had fertility treatment in my 30s that I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Not one doctor I saw up until then had told me about Endo ( no google back then!)

This could have been diagnosed years earlier if any doctor had been bothered to send me for tests. I would have saved years of excruciating pain and may even have prevented my infertility.

I've never been able to conceive and I often think that if I'd been taken seriously by doctors when I was in my teens and 20s I may have had a fighting chance.

I also had horrible periods and used to imagine doing a hysterectomy with a kitchen knife to stop the pain.
The pill helped but decimated my sex drive. Having children was the only thing that worked for me.
I would encourage school but not be surprised if I got a call from the school to collect her. Mine used to faint and vomit.

Defo get her a gp.

My mother suffered badly with periods until she had kids, she used to pass out with pain.
