Walked in ds1s room to investigate the noise upstairs after he'd gone to bed and I do wish I hadn't

From now on I knock. I have learned my lesson. Boys need privacy even if you think they're asleep. I will never enter his room again without knocking. Never, ever again.

He apologised, I made out I hadn't seen anything and beat a hasty retreat.

Tomorrow do I make out like I never walked in the room or do I tell him it's perfectly natural and everyone does it?

I like the note idea if you are too embarrassed to chat face to face

Unfortunately, not everyone DOES know it is normal. I'd just say, about last night, don't worry, everyone does it but can you make sure you change your sheets once a week and do you need tissues? lol Make it lighthearted. My ex gave my son some condoms and said do it in them, much less mess and of course it teaches him how to put them on for later lol

As for the technique, my ex said he used to shake his up and down! It worked as it was all so new and sensitive. He couldn't work out the wank hand signal lol He doesn't remember when he worked it out (he also on his first time with a girl just put it in and waited! bless...he was very naive

wurlywurly · 13/06/2007 20:32

did you catch him doing what I think you did

SSSandy2 · 13/06/2007 20:36

Posey · 13/06/2007 20:40

Have had to shoo dd away as she has a habit of reading over my shoulder and already wants to know what's so funny.

This thread has really brightened up my day. Luckily I have 2 DD's

minorityrules · 13/06/2007 21:04

Just remembered one son (age about 12 at time) walked in on me and ex in a one less than 70 position once!

He walked out sharpish and went back to bed

Next day I sat him down and said sorry you had to see that.....he answered "it's ok mum, I know you have sex, maybe next time lock the door!" Not an ounce of embarrassment, not even a little blush. Talk about child being the grown up lol

I have to say, we did lock the door after that hehe

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 13/06/2007 21:20

Great thread. Have laughed at so many posts that I can't namecheck

Make sure he has a large box of Kleenex and a lined-bin to drop them in. And move his bed away from the curtains

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 13/06/2007 21:29

Babyblue - and girls don't do it!?

babyblue2 · 13/06/2007 21:32

oh of course they do, but ladies are more discreet aren't they? Actually, at what age do girls do it?

lauzie · 13/06/2007 21:40

PMSL at Kathys note.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 13/06/2007 21:45

Girls are a lot less messy! And they'd start around 10/11yo?

nally · 13/06/2007 21:51

dh says the best thing for you to do is SAY AND DO NOTHING! he says that your ds will not want to talk about it or be talked to about it

babyblue2 · 13/06/2007 21:51

Really, that young? Am i a little naive?

weebleswobble · 13/06/2007 21:54

I didn't say anything to him. He didn't say anything to me and I had pushed it to the back of my mind.....UNTIL I SAW MY POST UP HERE AGAIN!!! aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhhh
