Found DS Stash

I've recently found my DS stash in his room. He had just under an ounce of weed, 5 tabs of LSD, Fags and a Vape. I've completely lost my shit with him over the eCig alone but he just doesn't seem to care. What should I do?

Tiggy the police don't have the resources to be tracking down small time criminals from what their mums are posting on Mumsnet!

What you also need to think of is if the drugs are destroyed - which seems the logical thing to do - if he is buying from someone else, he will be expected to return some of the profits of the sale to the bigger dealer, either to pay off the weed he is given in lieu or as a cut of what he earns. So you may have to pay that off because these people can get pretty nasty it they are owed money and your son doesn't need that too.

No, but they do have the resources to track down a household that is selling drugs on the internet, issue a search warrant and seize all the computers in order to establish who is involved.
In those circumstances, finding a web browser history to a forum post entitled "Found DS Stash" would be enough for an arrested in connection with supply of a controlled drug.

This is only going to get worse.

Tbh, his future career is the.least of your worries. The trouble he is in with the dealers, the possibility of a beating or worse, the fact.that.he's selling stuff that kills - bugger the records check.

Please get help from a drugs support agency.

19lottie82 · 08/08/2016 15:24

If you call the police now, yes he will be charged, but it will all be wiped from his record when he's 18.

Your son is 15 and dealing class A drugs. You need to take action. now.

19lottie82 · 08/08/2016 15:25

time there's no way in hell that will happen. Seriously.

JeanGenie23 · 08/08/2016 15:33

OP for your son to be involved in something this huge at such a young age suggests that as he gets older the drugs he sells (and uses) will be much harder. You don't need to be told from an Internet stranger that this must be nipped in the bud now, before he causes harm to another teenager and/or himself.

I would recommend calling a support agency first for advice. But without a doubt his phone/laptop need to be taken off him immediately

19lottie82 · 08/08/2016 15:34

OP you need to nip this on the bud, now. Your son needs a short sharp shock........

I can understand you saying you don't want to call the police on your son, but unless you have an alternate solution, things are just going to get worse, until they spiral out of control and he REALLY fucks his life up.

You've said yourself he laughed at you when you confronted him. The softly softly approach isn't going to work here.

TimeforaNNChange - no they don't have the resources to do that. They have the ability - they could technically do it - but they just don't have the people hours to put that much effort in for these amounts.

19lottie82 no it won't be wiped from his record when he turns 18. It will be there forever.

Obviously OP can't just do nothing. I'm hoping she's followed links to drug support agencies and is well on her way to sorting things out. Personally, if this was my child, I wouldn't call the police at this stage but I'd let him know I was holding that option in reserve for if he didn't cooperate.

What is the world coming to? We They used to!

Cutting of internet access is a lot harder than changing the wifi password! He could get back in. Wired connections will still work (though you could block specific devices). A mobile phone/tablet would still work on 3G/4G. He may well have devices the OP doesn't know about, he could use a device outside of the house. You'd have to be watching him constantly.

Even if he's not dealing with a supplier in person, there are people who can really fuck with you from a distance.

This needs dealing with smartly and carefully.

McBassyPants · 09/08/2016 16:31

Ultimately, if he wont stop and you won't force his hand then your only option is to wait for either the police to catch up with him (and you) or another dealer to catch up with him
