I like it looks lovely.

Allseeingallknowing · 25/06/2025 15:24

I do like it, it looks very elegant, but stop at one OP!

skippy67 · 25/06/2025 15:24

It's lovely!

sexnotgenders · 25/06/2025 15:27

Honestly? It’s very well done and the line work is beautiful. Personally, I think it would look better at half the size. Its delicate design and pen work seem at odds with its scale to me.

But what do you think? That’s what matters!

threesocksmorgan · 25/06/2025 16:26

that is really nice.

WaffleHouse7 · 26/06/2025 13:18

Thanks for your replies. It’s been done really well, but it just feels a bit random on my arm, has anyone else felt like this?

Maybe I am still getting used to it as only had it a couple of weeks, or maybe because it’s a fine line tattoo and more like a stencil than like the traditional style tattoo I already have on my foot.

Not sure if a bit more gentle shading in the leaves etc would help the contrast?

It’s the current look though I isn’t it, it’s minimalist or something. You must have liked it when you picked it! I personally am not a fan of this style , however they’ve done a good job and it’s nice. Give it time you’ll get used to it.

AlwaysBeingMe · 28/06/2025 10:32

Not for me personally but looks good on you - nice detail and has a classic style that won't date 👍

similarminimer · 28/06/2025 11:13

If you really want honesty - i think it looks 'flat' - theres no sense that the flowers are twining round the natural curve of your arm.

thebigyearahead · 28/06/2025 11:16

There seems to be a trend for fine line black tattoos at the moment. Seen lots of them recently. As with all trends, I think it will look dated in years to come

JDM625 · 28/06/2025 11:31

I had to open the photo to see the detail on it. I'd worry that unless someone is very close to you, it might look like a bruise or black hair on your arm (albeit the wrong side of your arm). It also does seem very large for such a fine, detailed work. Maybe its the angle of the pic, but it doesn't look straight. More like its going down your arm at angle. If you like it though, that is all that matters.

This! But it is pretty.

TheGriffle · 28/06/2025 11:33

It’s pretty and very well done.

CatRoleplayTycoon · 28/06/2025 11:35

Pretty.

similarminimer · 03/07/2025 17:52

Have felt bad about only sending half of what i wanted to say - which is that to my eye, another flower at either end, slightly offset, would create the 3d, wrapping round effect. The flowers are done beautifully - its just that you implied the placement felt odd and i think that may be why

cannaethink · 03/07/2025 18:06

I totally relate to the “random” feeling. My first on my arm took ages to get used to. I love it now and I’ve added a couple more 😁

annzen · 03/07/2025 18:10

I'm not a tattoo fan, but that one is nice, kind of delicate.

I often thought it would be great if people could get a temporary stencil of their proposed choice of tattoo and see how they feel about it after a certain time. Maybe that's possible, I don't know. For me it's the permanence that would put me off rather than the inking itself IYSWIM. I think I'd get bored looking at it for the rest of my life!

Why are you telling her to stop at one?

Anyway, your tattoo is gorgeous Op!

vipersnest1 · 03/07/2025 19:03

It’s lovely, but I’ve discovered white highlights and they really do help the tattoo ‘pop’. I’d have got some in the centre of the flowers. Here’s one of mine that has white in it- it’s really subtle but works I think.

How are you feeling about it now op? It’s lovely. You picked the design because you liked it so it great. I recently had a tattoo in the same place and of a similar size. I panicked for a few days thinking it was too big and seemed to be like my mum thinking I’d ruined my bare arm.

Vitrolinsanity · 03/07/2025 19:29

It’s very well executed. I’m with a pp that says if it tapered, eg with some buds either end it would flow with your arm. I wouldn’t be able to resist picking out the odd flower in pale blue.

Lilimoon · 03/07/2025 19:33

I really love it!

Because they’re addictive!

partyboat356 · 03/07/2025 19:58

It's pretty and well done but I can't help thinking it's missing something. Maybe a butterfly or bee on one of the flowers for a bit of a narrative and some extra visual interest.

thetorturedpoetsdepartmentssecretary · 03/07/2025 20:03

I love it 😊
