Microblading nightmare

Hi there,

I'm just wondering if someone could please give me some advice?

Please go easy on me, as I already feel stupid enough & just looking for some help and support.

Someone who has done beauty treatments for me in the past & who is very competent began training in microblading. She had put pictures online that looked lovely and I felt that she would be someone I would trust to undertake this work for me.

Unfortunately, it didn't go to plan & I now have one eyebrow higher than the others. I've contacted her about this & she has only apologised that I am unhappy about them, but ultimately thinks that she can correct them & they are not beyond help.

Subsequently, I went to a number of other technicians who have said that they are past help and will need removing!

I've been looking into lasering but it looks so painful. I was just wondering how other people got their microblading removed successfully? I'm wondering whether to wait a while until it's a little more faded before I have the treatment?

Any advice would be massively appreciated!

Good shout on the acid - an acid toner might be a good idea too if you don't already, I use Pixi Glow Tonic and Liquid Gold. (You'll have fab skin too!)

I'd go for a specialist tattoo concealer like Kat Von D's Lock-It or Vichy's Derma Blend range.

You could also try Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage, Benefit's Boi-ing or Estee Lauder's Stay-in-Place. I'd go into a department store and try as many as you need to until you find something that works.

Ooh also if you go to the sauna as much as possible this month that will help fade them!

Thanks so much for your advice - I'll have a look into all this. I was worried about putting this up last night, but so glad I did!

Just to mention that it's a pigment, rather than tattoo ink though - phew! So hopefully it will start fading!

Do you do microblading @peachgreen?

No, but I looked into it for a while and had loads of contingency plans for if it went wrong because I'm a worrier 😂

Hanster85 · 20/09/2019 17:04

I think you are right to be worried - I wish I'd done a bit more worrying & less naivety! Feel ridiculous!

Thank you for all your help! I'll try and wait them out for a bit - but at what point do I think 'they're not fading, better try the lasers?'

Seriously I think they look fine- your face isn't that symmetrical (hardly anyone's face is symmetrical). Can you get them a bit threaded to remove some of the hair that doesn't quite line up with the blading? It will hugely fade too.

Hanster85 · 20/09/2019 17:16

@sausagepastapot That's the problem unfortunately, on the left eyebrow, it's so high over my natural brow there's no hair covering it & having to shave my brow off, so I don't have two brows effectively - you can see it clearer in the second photo I posted Smile

Use retinol as well. That will fade them quicker. I have my brows done and because I use acid toner and retinol I have to get them re done a lot more often.

FrangipaniBlue · 20/09/2019 23:47

If I was you I'd let them fade and use tattoo cover makeup/eyebrow kits to fix them in the meantime.

I've had lazer tattoo removal (not on my face) and while it was worth it for what I wanted (colour removal before a cover up) I wouldn't really recommend it unless it's a last resort, and definitely not your face OH MY GOD IT HURTS!

Can you post another photo where your eyes are level on the grid? I honestly don’t think the height is that bad, though I do agree the tail isn’t where it should be.

@Wilmalovescake 😁

I am sorry to say that I think they are very bad, I would definitely notice that.

I don't think you should have them lasered though, that is very drastic!

I think the suggestion of concealer for tattoos is a really great one and I reckon that if you use the concealer to cover the wrong area and pencil in the correct shape they will look lovely and im sure it won't take too long for them to fade to the point you can't really see them anymore
