Quit vaping

I was wondering if nicotine patches can help with vaping? I have vaped for the last 18 months having never smoked cigarettes and I can say it’s turned into a full blown addiction.

I have had periods where I gave up for anywhere between 5 weeks to 2 months mainly due to winter flus which caused my need to vape to disappear. Then I got lulled into a false sense of security and thought I buy another one knowing I’ve managed to give up and entered the whole cycle again.

I can vape the equivalent of a disposable a day on some days. I vape every day now. It’s a total waste of money - I worked out I could have had a long haul holiday for the money I spent on vapes in the last 18 months.

I don’t think I even actually enjoy it anymore. For 8 -9 hours a day I can’t vape in my job as it’s not allowed on the premises and I’m totally fine - don’t miss it - I’m occupied and busy and love the clear head I have. Then as soon as I have a bit of down time I’m on it puffing away at home or at social occasions. I then get what I term as cloudy head which I actually don’t enjoy.

I’ve tried hypnosis and Allen Carr book/ audio - not worked.

So I have bought nicotine patches with the nicotine lozenges. I really want to give up vaping forever before July. Has anyone used it and it helped? My job will help me somewhat as I don’t desire to vape then but it’s the time I’m free I’m more worried about.
Many thanks

These are what I use. They are rechargeable and last over a week of heavy use.

@Bellabon hi sorry to jump on this post. Did u do anything else aside from the patches. Like something to keep your hands busy. I plan on getting some patches, but it's keeping my hands busy that I'm worried about! Thanks 🙏

Hi sorry for late reply! Only did the patches which I really did feel help with most of the craving. I'd say the other psychological aspect, I actually found that sucking on sugar free mints helped if I did get any additional urges! Once you've got rid of the physical addiction it is purely the psychological side that's left

You could try the nicorette inhalator

I'm using a nicorette inhaler. I've found it OK, but also slipped back into vaping recently. So annoying.
