Help needed - one cream flower for hair to a wedding - yes or no?

I have a gorgeous cream linen dress with aqua embroidery all over, with an aqua silk trim and a bolero from Monsoon that I plan to wear to a wearing in a couple of weeks.

I want to wear something in my hair which is collarbone length - thinking of having loose waves held back by one cream fabric flower as I can't find a match for the aqua anywhere.

Help me, all ye who know these things - is this social suicide at a wedding, or would it be OK?

if you were wearing all cream then yes is a faux pas but since you are not i think its a lovely idea

Yes, that's right, I'm the bride wearing a cream and aqua short dress with an aqua bolero.

Personally I think cream flowers are a little too bridal.

Could you go for something sparkly instead if you want something for your hair?

That flower doesn't look naff, it's fine.

If you're the bride you can wear what you want, only rule is you must like it and feel confident in it.

It wasn't clear from your title and OP that is was your wedding, you referred to it as 'a wedding'. Was youir tuip comment intended for yourself or for carrie?

If bride - the flower is fine but if a guest its too bridal.

oh, one last tip, before i go, i wouldn't worry about what your wear being "social suicide", your personality will have that covered for you.

MMSC - I would go for something with an aqua tone, check accessorize, or NExt. I wouldnt wear cream in your hair.

Will have a look online and see what I can find for you.

Sure you will look lovely... whether the bride or a guest.

she is NOT the bride. she is a guest.

any bride would call it "my wedding" or "our wedding". not "a wedding". (and definitely not "a wearing" ).

OP, not quite sure why you were rude to carrie, who was making the valid point that your outfit will look rather bridal. Especially since your OP seemed to be asking whether you'd look too bridal with a cream flower in your hair?
