Letizia

something always troubles me about Letizia. Don't know what. Yes, she is too thin, she looks like her neck would just snap off but it isn't just that. She doesn't look real to me and always very, very tense. Edgy type I think

ladysybil · 20/06/2010 15:09

i think hereditary titles dont actually die out. and unless the family stop reproducing, then the titles can still legally be used. they just dont have any power behind them.

if i could put princess, or lady with my name instead of plain old ms, then i would.

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:13

come it off though, Prince Cyril of Bulgaria etc. You lose power, you fade off out of the world of monarchy IMO.

The whole thing is ridiculous, yet I am still checking out the dresses...

Rania is pretty but she should change hairdressers and the shoes don't look right with that dress.

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:15

Naruhito

I still like him best, he looks the goods. Least the Japanese royal family have some self control and decent taste

ladysybil · 20/06/2010 15:16

no you dont, because all of the european monarchies have lost power at roughly the same sort of time, yet all are also related. so it is basically just a big posh wedding with extended relatives from around the world.

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:18

Norway

Like him. Who might he be then - Ari Behn? Opera singer? Looks like it to me.

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:21

Belgium

How come she isn't wearing her sash then? Maybe she put down her high-heeled pointy red foot and refused outright.

samsonara · 20/06/2010 15:34

the sashes are so they can wear their Royal family orders, which most European Roayal familes wear as part of their royal attire, I think thats prob why she is wearing a crown , tiara thing to, which some aren't. The dress trousers things made me laugh , haope it doesn't became fashionable, we'll be getting style threads with do you think trousers with a bit of fou fou netting would be better than wering black

samsonara · 20/06/2010 15:36

oh that's a point ZZZen, she is wearing a tiara think, but she hasn't got a medal looking thing so she doesn't need the sash, I presume

hornofplenty · 20/06/2010 15:37

They all do like princesses, Princess Claire of Belgium looks like a bit of a goer.

QualityTime · 20/06/2010 15:37

I love Queen Rania's dress
I thought sashes were the female way of wearing medals?

hornofplenty · 20/06/2010 15:38

she has broken the dress code and does not look like a disney princess

hornofplenty · 20/06/2010 15:39

WTF is this about, I want princesses to look like princess not like my daughter's barbie after a royal next top model make over

hornofplenty · 20/06/2010 15:40

she has sent her secretary in her place

hornofplenty · 20/06/2010 15:41

I agree that the spanish princess has managed to do modern princess chic well

hornofplenty · 20/06/2010 15:46

this belgian princess has also done modern princess well.

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:47

"she has broken the dress code and does not look like a disney princess "

yes
bit surprised at the black toie nials but ok

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:47

toe nails
black toe nails

hornofplenty · 20/06/2010 15:50

Surely one does not wear black nail varnish to a wedding, there will be someone with toe nail extensions next.

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:51

royalweddings.hellomagazine.com/princess-victoria-and-daniel-eh

she is not a Belgian princess ,is she?

hornofplenty · 20/06/2010 15:54

your link doesn't work, I am surprised by how much I want it to.

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:54

here

it says she is Rosario Nadal. The dress is ok but I don't like the feather bodice and I think her shoulders are too broad for the dress

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 15:57

I think really in this day and age they should have someone who goes on MN style and starts a thread asking if this dress would be suitable attire for Princess Victoria's wedding. We would gladly advise them.

Honestly, girls, ask MN first. And in future please leave the sashes at home.

ZZZenAgain · 20/06/2010 16:00

Maxima

I like Maxima, she looks a good sort and she can't help who her dad was. But since when do Argentinian gals wear grey dresses with coffee stained lace on top? They don't, really they don't.

She would have looked good in red.

belgo · 20/06/2010 16:01

Where is the bride?
