Please help me find a dress

I am desperate for some help.

Have been to EVERY shop in my city, and hound nothing. Feel like I've seen every dress on the Internet, but nothing suits.

I need it by Thursday at the latest, so have 6 days.

It needs to have a tailored waist due to my rather large belly, or at least flatteringly cover my middle. And it needs to be short - mid thigh at most. It needs to be classy, but young as I am only 28. It's for a formal event.

I am so desperate, I really really need help.

I don't know what to do. Please help.

I'm 29 and a size 12 with a bit if a tummy and have recently bought quite a few things from monsoon. Have even had to get a size smaller in a few dresses.

They do a few short black shift dresses in their fusion range that I've tried and found them really flattering around the tummy area.

I was there yesterday and sadly, all was too long. The only short dress was too... Frumpy.

My friends are all gorgeous, thin and extremely stylish, hence the pressure!

Can't you have the hem taken up to the length you prefer?

If that's the only reason for you to discount the dress it seems the best option if you like it otherwise.
