Isn't it lovely? I'm wondering what it is really like. Any volunteers?

this is very strange. I was just about to start a thread about this dress! I think it looks lovely in the pic. I'm thinking of buying it for a wedding I'm going to in 3 weeks.
how would you accessorize it...?

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/06/2010 20:25

Peeptoe heels/wedges. Grey? Pewter clutch?

janeite · 05/06/2010 20:27

Oh that is v nice. My norks are too big for that neckline though, so I can't help you, sorry.

Would be lovely with pewter and a big silver bracelet.

duende · 05/06/2010 20:29

my problems is a complete lack of norks at the moment. I tried about 12 dresses in town today and looked absolutely horrible in all of them never thought I'd be that unhappy with my body being a size 8

going to start saving for a boob job, I think. instead of a uni fund for DS

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/06/2010 20:30

duende, I am also norkily challenged so suit that style and cowl necks.

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/06/2010 20:31

Or should perhaps say underchallenged

duende · 05/06/2010 20:33

themasterandmargaritas, I want it now.
what are their sizes like...?

sotough · 05/06/2010 20:33

oh wow, i love the look of that. i'll happily try it on for you if it's in our local branch tomorrow....am not a regular on S+B and not very familiar with concept of trying sthing on for someone else but am assuming you mean it literally because there are no branches near you and you want to know how it hangs etc before maybe buying it online?

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/06/2010 20:36

Do it sotough, that would be very helpful.

I am overseas so if I order it online before I come back I probably won't be able to return it easily.

Duende can get it and report back too.

OP posts:
sotough · 05/06/2010 20:56

ok! i'm 5ft 4in with quite a small frame and no boobs.
i suspect it may make me look a bit short (it looks a sort of mid calf length) but i will report back!

NorkilyChallenged · 05/06/2010 20:56

Ooh, did someone say norkily challenged?

Yes, that is very nice. Might not suit my current pot belly. Will try it on myself I think (but will probably not get a chance for at least a week so hopefully sotough can report back before then).

I find in general Phase 8 sizes are big (ie I'm a borderline 10-12 but in Phase 8 can often fit comfortably in a 10).

NorkilyChallenged · 05/06/2010 20:57

Sotough - I think it looks just around knee length or even higher so will be interesting to see what is right! The perils of internet shopping

duende · 05/06/2010 21:08

I have just ordered it!
now please help me find shoes and accessories to go with it, lovely ladies!

thelunar66 · 05/06/2010 22:27

Blardy Hell.. I tried this one this very day!!!

Was blardy awful on me.

Showed off my croissant knees to full icky effect

Would have been lovely if 4 - 6 inch longer.

Themasterandmargaritas · 06/06/2010 05:38

Sotough, snap You will be a perfect me replacement, though I suspect you are probably much prettier younger.

So it's quite short lunar? Above the knee?

Duende, I'll be back later with shoe suggestions.

wineismysaviour, everything you have linked to is lovely - especially the shoes, but too ££.

I don't mind these, and the price, but they haven't got them in my size. (6)

Themasterandmargaritas · 06/06/2010 14:41

yes I'm with you duende the shoes are divine I just need something more solid I was contemplating these but still a bit too ££. Also I am worried about chunky calf syndrome so I'd have to try them.

OP posts:
duende · 06/06/2010 14:45

themaster, I can't wear shoes with straps around the ankle because of chunky calf and short leg syndrome

Themasterandmargaritas · 06/06/2010 14:51

The irony is I have some nude wedges similar to this that actually look great, but I think that actual around the ankle as opposed to above it, is the clincher.

Master - have just posted quick guide to shopping in bath on your other thread.

Themasterandmargaritas · 06/06/2010 14:54
