Style gurus, I need help!

I'm meeting some friends for a night out in Manchester and have no clue what to wear.

I'm 34, 5'7, pale, brown bob and size 12. Tend to dress in black but don't dislike colour. Not keen on fussy.

There is an outfit out there that will make me look 5'10, size 8 and aged 24, right? Right???

Are sequins acceptable/flattering/passé?

i like this with plain top underneath here and these shoes.

this top is also frickin gawgeous and would look great with skinnies.

oh and that simple vest would work well under a silk shrug like the one i linked to. very stylish but saucy.

by contrast- this is a nice mix of bling and classic styling. good with jeans and heels.
